Morning all
Enjoying a nice peaceful start to the day before Mr SA and the dog get up. Read a chapter of my book, did a Spanish lesson and a couple of surveys.I’m going to go to Lidl later for a few bits, definitely need some cat food. The walk and fresh air will do me good, starting to feel a bit stir crazy. The weather looks better today so will take the dog to a further away park for a change of scenery. The park across the road is very handy but gets boring when you’re there every day.Tonight’s dinner is one pot leek, mushroom and pea pasta from my WW app. Not tried this recipe before but have leeks and mushrooms to use up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
My smart meter doesn’t appear to be working. The monitor is dead and the meter itself isn’t showing numbers. Another thing to sort out 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Glad that it is being replaced 😊

That is exactly why we dont have a smart meter. They seem to still be very unreliable technology. Part of the problem is companies put these things on the market before they are fully tested and all the bugs are ironed out. Mr LH used to work in the electronics industry and it was one of his bugbears.

Our smart meter often goes off piste and then sorts itself again with no input from us. Definitely gremlins in the mix.
Pleased to hear about the Fitbit. I did smile when you mentioned you’d complained to Curry’s though……ds had taken a broken iPad to them…..a week over its 12 month warranty. The young salesman asked if he’d taken extended cover out. When ds said he hadn’t the lad started laughing and said ‘well you’ve p***ed (insert word rhyming with hissed there) on your chips haven’t you mate’ ds couldn’t believe his ears. He did get a replacement in time though as it was a whole long drawn out process of tests on the I pad and he went higher and spoke to somebody in customer services over the phone who agreed just over 12 months meant it wasn’t fit for purpose. I hope the person you spoke to had better customer relations than the first one ds encountered.January spends - £587.584 -
This is the first time I’ve had a problem with a smart meter and I’ve had one for a few years now. I believe they still take readings even though you can’t see the numbers. I’ve emailed 🐙 to let them know anyway.
I’ve had problems with Curry’s in the past, they don’t want to know when their products go wrong. I dealt with them via email and they just told me to contact FitBit, although I was under the impression for faulty goods still in warranty the onus was on the retailer. The Fitbit before this one was from there and it only lasted 2 years. Should’ve gone somewhere else really. I won’t shop with them again.
Took the dog on the park further away and stopped at Aldi on the way back home. The weather is lovely and sunny but very cold and windy. I feel a lot better for getting out in the fresh air and at least I know I’ve done well over 10,000 steps.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

Well Mr SA has been a pain today! Firstly on the way back from this morning’s trip he suddenly said where’s my hat. Not on his head evidently 🙄 So I had to go back and look for it, thankfully not too far away but in the middle of the road.
Then at lunchtime he complained about the leftover star shaped tortilla chips (M&S) I’d given him as they reminded him of potpourri. After that he went back to bed for about 3 hours so it was lovely and quiet. I decided to do a relaxing yoga session with just the fairy lights on and had just got to the final part when he came shuffling in, walked all over the mat, stood on my hair and switched the big light on.
Then I went for a nice relaxing bath, was having a lovely soak with candles and music when he came piling in to have a shower. We don’t have a lock on the bathroom door now as DD once had to kick it down when he fell with the door locked. Reminded him he shouldn’t just come barging in as that could’ve been DD in there. He’s now asking where his old work boots are as he’s thinking about going back to work in the new year 😩Give me strength!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
