Well I’ve had a pretty boring day. Took the dog on the park this morning and picked a bag full of litter 🤬 A couple of other dog walkers thanked me. Attempted to take the dog out for another walk this afternoon but she didn’t want to go. The dog and the cats have had too much excitement today with food and presents. Spent a lot of time trying to get my Fitbit to reset but it’s not having it 😢 Pinged an email to Curry’s where I bought it from so hopefully I can exchange it as it’s less than a year old (just).DD bought me the cookbook I’d asked for The Green Roasting Tin by Rukmini Iyer (vegan/vegetarian one dish dinners) plus a gin gift set. The cookbook looks great, lots of lovely recipes to try. Mr SA is happy with his collection of assorted beer and smellies. DD seems to be happy with her mix of wine, socks, perfume and chocolates, bearing in mind she said she didn’t want anything 🙄Have made a vegan mushroom roast for me for tonight from a recipe on the Deliciously Ella app. it just needs a bit more cooking time but smells amazing. Even diehard carnivore Mr SA has expressed interest in it. I’m going to have it with roast carrots and parsnips and steamed veg.DS and the GKs will visit as soon as DIL is more mobile. We have lots of presents for them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Someone must have taught her the appropriate Christmas behaviour 😂 Training the HT isn't going well, he had water with his dinner and he and his friend have gone to make "a nice cup of tea". His friend has just escaped from her grandparents house - it's not that exciting here either 🤣🤣🤣5

Morning happy Boxing Day 🎄
I woke up very early this morning so no doubt I’ll be tired later. No particular plans for today. Doing the live Joe Wick’s workout at 9am then will be taking the dog for a walk. I’d like to go out for lunch at some stage while I’m off work, not seen the pubs decorated up yet this Christmas and time is running out!It should be NSD 9 if we don’t go to the pub. Got loads of food and drink at home.I need to do some washing, ironing, cleaning and tidying later. There are dog and cat toys everywhere. Also need to finalise Wednesday’s Mr M order, won’t need much at all this week.Need to do a meal plan too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I got myself a bottle of my favourite Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, I didn’t get a birthday present from Mr SA so this was birthday/Christmas combined.Hilarious. They’ll be calling you a bad influence 😁
I hope you chose your own present wisely and are happy with it 🎅🏻Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Boxing Day 🎄
I’d like to go out for lunch too. We have lots of food in, but it’s so nice to people watch and to eat something you haven’t cooked yourself. Everywhere will be decorated up until New Year, so you’ll have time to squeeze one (or two) in. My dog didn’t want to go out much yesterday either. She’s too old for walks, but normally likes to potter around the garden. Instead she had her second meal at lunchtime with us (turkey and some appropriate trimmings) and then protested later until she also got her tea 🤣 She was adamant she always eats at teatime and the Christmas dinner was just a bonus. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Didn’t spend anything today after all, in fact earned a few quid doing surveys 👍 I’ve decided to give myself a target of earning £10 a week minimum on surveys. The money will go into a pot for treats for myself.4 days until payday, no early payday in December for me, my employer likes to hold on to money to the last minute 😆
The dog has been for a good run on the park so she’s happy. No litter to pick today thankfully. I bought the dog a special tin of food for Christmas and the cats have eaten it 😬I think I’m going to have a stir fry tonight for dinner. I might do Mr SA fish and chips, he’ll like that. Sadly had to throw away a bag of sprouts as they were most definitely off 🤢 I noticed a lot of short dated food in the supermarkets last week which is a bit naughty of them.DS didn’t poison anyone with his cooking yesterday which is good news 😆 DIL is feeling a lot better which is even better news 🥳
I noticed my purple sprouting broccoli is growing profusely at the moment but although there are plenty of leaves there’s no sign of any purple sproutiness. I can live in hope.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
No early pay day for us either. We both get paid on Friday.
I don't mind that though.3 -
Relieved to hear DIL is home and hopefully on the road to a full recovery, even tho she will need close monitoring in the future. I recently went for an eye test after not having one for about 4 years. I paid £10 extra for some scan they do that will see if you may have problems with your eyesight in the next 5 years. Thankfully it seems I have perfect eyes( fingers crossed the rest of me is like my eyes). It was worth the £10 for peace of mind. Also got my new Fitbit up and running, now just need to start moving, tho the last few weeks it’s felt like I haven’t stopped.
xmas dinner this year was cooked by my DS who used to be a chef and was lovely. It’s the only time somebody cooks for me as DH hasn’t the patience of a knat when it comes to cooking or anything else come to think of it.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.006 -
