Another one sending you love. I hope your DIL is ok and gets out of hospital as soon as she’s able. It will be hard for her not being with the kids at Christmas but better a short absence now whilst she gets better than a worse alternative.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.2

Some better news in that DIL has had the fluid drained from her brain. She can already see much better. The hospital have sent the fluid to a bigger hospital for testing to find out what’s caused it and, provided the results are ok and the fluid levels don’t start building up again, she might be able to go home today or tomorrow. They would’ve kept her in longer normally but know how desperate she is to see the kids.DS said both of the GKs have been unbelievably well behaved the past couple of days. They must be able to sense something’s not right.
Of course this means the Christmas Eve visit is off. We will have to exchange presents another time. DS is on standby to bring DIL home (hopefully).
We were going to invoke our plan B for today which was go to the pub for lunch but took the dog for a long walk instead and had some of the buffet food I’d bought for today. Seems daft to go out and pay circa £30 for lunch only for Mr SA to hoover it down in 10 minutes when we’ve got ample food/drink at home.
I need to clean the bathroom and vacuum/mop the floors then it’s feet up time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
I'm glad that the news is better and I hope that DIL continues to improve. Fingers crossed that she makes it home.2

DIL is being discharged tonight 🥳 It’s definitely Intercranial Hypertension. They don’t know what caused it but she will either have to have regular lumbar punctures or have a shunt fitted. They said she was close to having a stroke, followed by losing her sight, then losing her life. She’s being referred to a neurologist for further treatment.DS is waiting for the call to collect her. He’s cooking Christmas dinner tomorrow 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
