  • I hope your daughter in law is doing ok and the lumber puncture goes well tomorrow. Thinking of you all XXX
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Oh no what a shock for your DS and you especially as DIL  is presumably young with small children. Hope lumbar puncture goes ok.

I've been to Mr T hopefully I won't need to buy anything else other than a paper tomorrow. It doesn't help that Mr SA is suddenly springing random things on me he's run out of/about to run out of. Mr T was busier than normal but not too bad.

On the money front I've paid off the CC in full, just 3 things pending on there now, I've sent some oddments to the 2023 Christmas pot, now £58.17and sent some money to the holiday pot. I've now got enough in the holiday pot to pay the remainder of the balance when it's due in February and I've saved a good portion towards the spending money.

It must have come as a massive shock to you all. I expect if dil comes home today she’ll be pleased of a bit of peace whilst the children are at your house….you must all be getting your heads around it.

  • Sounds like you're doing well on the saving front. I've been putting our holiday money in a pot to pay balance as well. Need to check everything and make sure we are still on track with everything.

I hope that DILs hospital trip means that she can enjoy Christmas without feeling sick. Thank goodness it was spotted and will be dealt with. Life changing is a big one (gulp) but your son will be relieved that it isn't what he thought.

The putting empty packets back must be a man thing - the House Troll does it too. Either that or he tells me that he's about to use the last of something the day after the shopping has been delivered even though I ask him several times if he needs anything and remind him that he has to have at least a weeks worth of what he needs because that's how long it is until the next shop.

Definitely a man thing.  I think I have finally trained my DS to leave empty packets on the worktop, I mean they are never going to find their way into a bin.  He was better at this stuff when he was 8.
