@Sun_Addict I just saw something that may be up your street. LitterLotto, it's an app where you takepictures of the litter you throw away and you may win a prize for doing it...

That's Monday done, 4 more working days to go.
I worked from the office until lunchtime then from home this afternoon. I went out to B&M first thing as planned and picked up some wrapping paper and tags from there.
A good day for steps 23,000 so far. Aiming for 25,000.
I popped into Lidl on the way home for cat food. The cats won't touch their previously preferred brand and will only eat Lidl's own make. I'm not complaining as it's a fair bit cheaper. I'm annoyed with myself for not picking up more packs of those mini pizzas when they had them in stock as I can't find them now. The same thing happened last year, I ended up getting them elsewhere and everyone preferred the Lidl ones. I need some sort of master list of what to get and when for next year (no doubt I've said this before many times!).
Mr SA has thrown a spanner in the works for Christmas Day dinner. I'd planned to get a chicken for him, DD and the pets as he doesn't like turkey. He now wants beef as he's claiming he doesn't like chicken! DD doesn't eat beef so I'm going to get a chicken crown for her and the pets now. I don't normally cook for DD as she doesn't come home from work until 9pm and cooks her own. Christmas Day is the one day of the year I cook for her and I think she looks forward to it.
Mr SA is also hassling me for the same 3 things he does every year that I refuse to buy: Christmas crackers (total waste of money), nuts in shells (that he makes a terrible mess with then gets fed up with them) and a Poinsettia (that I spend all Christmas trying to keep alive in vain). Not buying any of those items I'm afraid.
Finances have been sorted and an oddment has gone to the 2023 Christmas pot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

If it helps Poinsettia are mildly toxic to dogs. You could forget the mildly bit and as nuts are high in fat they are not good for them.

I keep forgetting to make this recommendation so here it is: BBC Sounds R2 Unwinds with Angela Griffin on Sunday nights. On too late for me to listen to live but I download and listen offline. The music is pure relaxation and her voice is very soothing. I listened to last night’s Christmas mix on my walk to work, it was lovely.I can also highly recommend the M&S Discover perfumes, they are very reasonably priced, smell divine and the fragrance lasts just like more expensive brands.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I love that you are saving for next Christmas already. In my mind, that means you will eventually be several years ahead.:)I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
