    Morning, happy Monday 🎄

It's foggy and very cold here this morning. No snow.

Feel almost back to normal this morning apart from a tiny cough and runny nose. So good to feel better. Normal service is resumed 😁

Mr SA has been coughing in the night. I can't moan because this was me last week. He's had the cheek to moan at me passing it on to him. I reminded him he has the luxury of being able to rest whereas I had to work, cook, clean and look after him.

I'm WFH today, planning on going into the office on Wednesday, I think I'll be ready for a change of scenery by then.

Exercise will be dog walking a couple of times and will do a Christmas dance type thing from You Tube after work.

Today's dinner is leftover curry from Saturday. I roasted half a cauliflower in the end last night, the other half I mashed and used as a topping for a plant based cottage pie. The roast cauliflower is destined for a tray bake.

I've done my finances this morning and set a few oddments to the Christmas 2023 pot so that now holds £39.58. It will be NSD6 today and I've received the £38 off Mr M shop code.

New 4 week budget period starts today. Overspend of £12.09 on groceries in the last 4 week period which isn't bad to say I was buying extra stuff. £70 left over across overall budgets so that has gone to the general spends pot. Christmas 2022 budget on track, still need to spend around £70 and there's £125 left. I'm keeping a list of everything I buy so I can see where it's all gone.

I tried to take the dog out this morning, put her harness on and she ran upstairs and wouldn't come back down! I didn't have time to faff about as I had a meeting a short time later. I shall attempt it again shortly. Little devil!

One of my Scottish work colleagues who phones me for a chat quite a lot has suggested we have a virtual Christmas do just the two of us chatting over a glass of wine as we get on really well. I think that's a lovely idea, although not quite the same as going to the pub, she is very entertaining and makes me laugh.

Octopus have invited me to another event where they will pay me for every kwh of electricity I cut down on at a certain time. I think they might be pushing it a bit this time - 2 hours 5pm to 7pm. I can't see Mr SA not watching TV for that stretch of time plus he starts to panic if his evening meal hasn't made an appearance by 7pm. It says you can still have a lamp on just not use any big appliances. I've accepted the offer anyway and will do what I can. I can wait until after 7pm for my dinner and it's only going to be heated up in the microwave anyway. I can prep Mr SA's so it won't take long and leave him starving to death 😆 Now I've just got to get him on board.

We had a few tiny flakes of snow again earlier, the sky looks absolutely full of it at the moment.

We have still had no snow at home.

In the office in Sheffield now and it is white over and the sky looks full of it, although for now it is holding off.

It is apparently still -3 outside here. Was -1 when we left home.

Would Mr SA notice if you changed the clocks?  I used to do that occasionally when my DS was little.  Yes I know bad mother, but at least we both survived.

Managed to give the dog a good run on the park at lunchtime. Mr SA came with us for some fresh air. We had the whole park to ourselves.
