Hopefully you will perk up soon.  Cold and flu tablets give a bit of a false sense of optimism - then just before the next dose is due the reality returns.  I've been feeling rough this week too - the sore throat from hell.  My next tablets are due in about 30 minutes and I'm having a slump.
Stay warm and try to rest.

It was our firms Christmas do last night. I declined this year. I'm feeling all partied out already this month. Saving myself for Christmas now I think.

We have a fair few who don't celebrate Christmas but they still go to the party and enjoy themselves.

It's quite amusing receiving texts intended for somebody else. I once received one from my sister consisting of a load of items I was to buy on my way home - obviously intended for her husband. I also once received a phone call from a bloke who, when I picked up & said 'Hello', went into full sexy mode......I couldn't get a word in edgeways....he was so embarrassed when I told him that actually I wouldn't be up for any of those things when he came over later because he'd got a wrong number - & he apologised profusely.

Obviously I don’t know why the team member doesn’t celebrate Christmas, it could be personal reasons not religious but the rest of us should still have gone out, it was only for an hour or so at lunchtime. When we were a bigger team in our location not everyone came out with us but we didn’t cancel because one person didn’t want to go. This is the trouble with remote working, teams are scattered all over the country.

I’ll message my friend later, see how she’s feeling 😆 We need to arrange a catch up anyway.

At work dos I was always Cinderella leaving before things started getting too messy because of Mr SA, probably not a bad thing. I miss the planning what to wear and seeing everyone dressed up in the office getting excited to be leaving early to go for pre meal drinks.

I don’t feel too bad this morning. I slept from around 9.30pm to just after 7am. I might venture out today, just to the park over the road if I feel ok. I definitely need to catch up on housework and finish off the Christmas decorations. I won’t be doing live ClubFit this morning, not ready for that yet.

I need a paper today so not a NSD. I only buy a paper once a week because I like the TV guide in it.

Curry night tonight- beef Madras for Mr SA and mine will be a veggie one definitely involving spinach as it needs using up. I need to sort out the fridge as there are a few bits in there need using asap.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Just catching up and sorry to hear that you were feeling so rough! Glad you're on the mend but sorry that Mr SA is now poorly 🥺. Take it easy, as I know you're very active but don't push yourself too far too fast.

It's a shame about the Christmas do, I always find them a light relief from working and a chance to have a good chin wag.

Hope you're both back to feeling normal soon enough xx.
