Hope you feel better soon….

But I did read that this new variant doesn't always show up on the LFTs, so I do wonder if I actually had it. Still feel terrible this morning although I think you always feel worse first thing when you’ve got cold/flu type illnesses. I’ve taken some flu relief tablets so hopefully they’ll kick in soon.
The dog was sleeping behind my pillow where the cats normally sleep, she never sleeps there!
I’m WFH but will see how I go, might have to finish early if I don’t perk up. This is the trouble with WFH you feel obliged to log on even if you don’t feel up to it.
Amazon claim to have delivered my parcel at 11pm last night. They haven’t, I’ve checked outside in case it’s in the bins or behind them and it isn’t. I have other deliveries coming today from them so will see if it arrives with them before I contact customer services. A few weeks ago they delivered my umbrella at night and it was outside on the doorstep all night in the pouring rain. What worries me is they left it outside and someone has taken it. Mr SA waited up for it too.I ordered the latest Pinch of Nom book back in the summer and it’s coming today. I love a new cookbook so that will cheer me up.I’m so fed up just what I didn’t need right now when I have so much to do. What is it with me and this time of year. At least it makes a change from being in plaster I suppose 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Do try to rest too, @Sun_Addict. I know it's not really in your DNA not to be busy & active, but you don't want this Covid bout lingering. I felt improved after a week, but it took 2 weeks to get back to normal & even then, the cough only slowly improved & lasted nearly 6 weeks in total. Hopefully you'll have picked up by the weekend.
Re deliveries, my friend had a parcel left in his wheelie-bin..There was a card left to say that's where it was, but my friend was away for a couple of days & had arranged for his neighbour to put the bin out, so the parcel ended up on a tip somewhere in Derby!!
I had an odd one once when the parcel was left fastened tightly to the door handle with a pile of thick rubber bands - so tightly wound, it took me ages to remove it!
Hope your missing parcel shows up today.

Can you take the day of work and have a day of rest?
It will do your body the world of good to just have a day off.5 -

It seems crazy that there isn’t a person who can take over your duties- what would happen if you were very seriously ill and ended up in hospital.January spends - £587.583

I'll second the need for rest with Covid - it can be an evil beastie that creeps in and steals something so give your body every chance to fight it. After all, if for some reason you were totally unable to work, your employer would have to find a work-around, wouldn't they?

I have a new manager and she's working on changing things so there is cover for me when I'm off. I've been banging this drum for a while now so I'm glad someone is finally doing something about it. I used to have cover but she retired at the beginning of the year.
On the finances front, today will be NSD 3 of December. I've sent an oddment to the Christmas 2023 pot so that now holds £22.82. I've also sent the maximum £500 to a regular saver account. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep sending as much as this to savings but will take every month I can as a bonus.
Outstanding balances:
Mortgage £10,797.32
Additional borrowing part of mortgage £2,250.36
Windows/door £2165.76
Grand total £15,213.44

Thank goodness the "missing" Amazon parcel arrived along with the rest of the delivery this morning. The box looked a bit battered so wonder if it had been at the bottom of a pile and been overlooked yesterday. Bit naughty of them to say it had been handed to the resident when it hadn't, they must be taking a leaf of out Evri's book 🙁
The cold and flu relief tablets are working but I can tell when they're wearing off as I start flagging. I attempted a live Pilates class at lunchtime but it was a struggle as I feel so bunged up.
Just another couple of hours to do at work then I'll be logging off.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
