  • Ooh happy Saturday to you too. Sounds like a good day so far.
We will be watching Strictly as well. We have salmon....my favourite, could eat it every day given a chance.
Good deal on the Rose, I've not shopped at Mr M for a long time now, yet during lockdown I used them all the time for deliveries.

  • I hope you enjoyed strictly. They are all improving (even Tony, but I still think he should go).
The cava was an excellent deal. I have started buying boxes of 6 bottles when they are on offer via prime, as the deals are limited in Scotland (to save us from ourselves apparently 🙄). Unfortunately I can never find good on line deals on fizz.

Happy Sunday. It’s been raining on and off all morning but as I type the sun has come out 😎

Took the dog for a very wet run on the park, we were the only ones there. She’ll definitely need a bath tonight, she can get in after me later.

The young cat is such a scrounger, she has begged a good portion of Mr SA’s lunch from him. She eats anything and everything!

Today is NSD 7 of October.

Have got a slow cooker on the go full of veg that needs using up plus some pearl barley. This will do me for work lunches all week. Tonight’s dinner is a portion of nut roast from freezer stocks with roast butternut squash and steamed veg. I’ve done my meal plan for the coming week based on what I’ve got in stock. Lunch was some leftover pizza from last night with salad.

I’m going to do a yoga session later then watch Christmas with the Kranks while I do my nails. Then I’ll have a bath with a face pack. Sunday is all about pampering 😆

  • I've got our slow cooker on as well, loads of veg & a couple of turkey steaks on the top. There is enough veg to last 2 days, so will add something else to it tomorrow, once I've done this weeks meal plan. I'm a bit behind this week, my brain isn't working with this silly cough/cold I've got.  Love my slow cooker, its only a standard size one, but looking to get a bigger one as even though there's only the 2 of us I could do even more batch cooking with a bigger one. Think the bigger ones are about 6.5L,I've been looking for a 2nd hand one, but no joy yet. Might have to resort to a new one, but don't really want to.

    Enjoy the pampering.

I’ve got two slow cookers, a small one for Mr SA’s meat and a 3.5 litre one for my veggie meals. I bought a Salter chalk board one when they were on offer a while ago. I think I paid £24.99 for it. I’ve previously had an Argos own make 6.5 litre and it was fine. I don’t eat meat and have to have separate cooking vessels, I’m quite particular about that even though I know they get thoroughly washed.

    Happy Monday!

I've been in the office this morning, left at lunchtime to do the rest of my working day from home.

I went over on my bad ankle this morning walking to work. I think it was a combination of it being very dark, wet leaves and uneven pavement. It's really sore at the front of my foot and it's swollen. I can still walk on it but it's sore. I was silently moaning about having to go into the office all the way there 😆 At least I'm WFH tomorrow so can recover.

Finances have been done and there was a small underspend on groceries of £6.05 so that's been shifted over to the Christmas pot. CC balance has been paid off.

Popped into Lidl on the way home and claimed my free baguette.

Exercise wise I'm almost at 20,000 steps so will hit that by the end of the day. Going to do some abs exercise later, certainly not doing anything that involves jumping around.

Tonight's dinner is a portion of spiced butternut squash stew. Going to make some herb dumplings to go in it to use up the last of the natural yoghurt.

To do: finalise tomorrow's Mr M order, a few Spanish lessons, ironing and clean the living room.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd tell Mr Unvaxxed Conspiracist to go away, you don't want him near you as your DH is immunosuppressed - and I'd report him to HR if he flouted your instructions.

Plus, you should WFH until your foot is better - pointing out to work that otherwise you'd have to go on sick leave.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Never thought of looking at Argos for a good priced one. I don't want to pay a lot. I can understand having 2 if 1 of you is vegan or vegetarian and the other isn't.  Love my SC, think its my most used kitchen appliance.

Ouch to the ankle. Take it easy and give it chance to recover.
I love my slow cooker too. I made a gorgeous lamb stew the other day…..I know you wouldn’t like it but twas rather delicious. I’m quite impressed you’re prepared to cook meat for Dh. My family member won’t cook meat at all.
