That’s Wednesday done ✔️
Stayed in the office all day. It was very busy even at 7am when I arrived. I expect people will go in more often now to save money on utility bills. Makes no difference to me with Mr SA being home all day.Went for a lunchtime walk with a work walking group, just to the river then back along the canal. It was very pleasant and I got chatting to people I’ve never met before.Just resting with a coffee after my walk home before a live Zumba class at 6.It’s a good job I went to the outside freezer this morning to get tonight’s dinner out of it as the door hadn’t closed properly where part of a bag had caught. Fortunately nothing had defrosted. Anyway tonight’s dinner is a portion of Sri Lankan curry with rice.
Money wise today has been NSD 6 of October and an oddment of £5.20 has gone to the Christmas pot so now £526.21.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Slightly off-topic @Sun_Addict but may I say how much I love the word sundries? Probably just an eccentric trait of mine but I find it comical; can't think why as the only place I see it is on curry menus and solicitors' bills; nothing very funny there. Adoring your diary as ever onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx3

Spotted on the way to work this morning walking through the city centre 😆 One advantage to walking in the dark.

You won’t miss that place 😂 wouldn’t want their leccy bill though.
The dinner time walking group sounds great 👍 exercise and meeting new people 👍January spends - £587.583 -
Morning, happy Thursday.
WFH today thank goodness. Will shortly be nipping up to Aldi before it gets busy so that will count as my morning walk.
I'm hoping for a catching up on admin day work wise, although who knows what could pop into my inbox!
I'm joining a live tone & stretch session at lunchtime and FitSteps tonight via the instructor's personal classes she's set up. The Zumba class that replaced FitSteps on the WW app last night was brilliant but I would still like to carry on doing FitSteps too.
Today's cleaning task is the bathroom (again). I've got a load of washing in but no idea what the weather's doing as it's still pitch black.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of lightly dusted lemon sole from freezer stocks with lots of veg. I had an idea re the freezer to keep a drawer solely for that week's dinners so I know where everything is for that week without having to rummage through mounds of stuff. I can also put things in there that need using up next. Lunch is sorted for the rest of the week as I made 4 portions of carrot, ginger and butterbean soup - it's delicious but think I may have been a bit heavy handed with the ginger!
Money wise I've done a quick check of finances and found an oddment of £3.98 to send to the Christmas pot, now £530.19. Hoping to be at target of £600 mid November so I can make a start on Christmas shopping. I have a day off work to meet friends for lunch on 11 November so would be good to at least pick up one present then.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Good job you checked the freezer!
I always worry about our garage freezer defrosting. We usually have quite a lot of meat in there and it would be an expensive job replacing it all again!!
Bathroom cleaning for us tonight as well. Every Thursday I curse myself for buying a house with three bathrooms

Been reading your diary for a while & now decided to subscribe. You're doing well on the Christmas pot...that amount would last me at least 2 Christmases, probably 3...lol. You sound just like me with the walks & online exercise classses, I love it.

Good idea saving a shelf for the weeks meals if you have the space. I virtually emptied my freezer and did a Costco shop last month. I’d kept a free shelf to stock Christmas things but by the time I’d made meals from some of the haul I’d bought it was totally full again. Not a bad problem to have atm though.January spends - £587.582
