That’s the week done. Have been in the office today and it’s been manic. Definitely earned my wages today and then some! Ended up doing over my hours but it all adds into the flexi pot for future use.Ready to put my feet up tonight. Really enjoyed a long soak in the bath when I got home. 17,000 steps not aiming to hit 20,000 today, too shattered. The tablets are working really well on the dog already, she’s not hobbled at all and is a lot livelier. I could do with taking them 😆 The younger cat killed a wood pigeon today - they’re much bigger than her so goodness knows how she managed it 😞
NSD 4 of September today, was tempted this morning as everyone seemed to be treating themselves to coffees from the nearby Starbucks/Costa/Nero but resisted and used my coffee bag. Got to say Cafe Nero is my favourite by far but the most expensive. I only drink black coffee so the taste is really important to me and theirs is the best in my opinion. I like Pret too but they’re nowhere near work.Tonight’s dinner is an old favourite harissa prawn orzo, all cooked in one pan.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Crikey to younger cat v wood pigeon. One of mine pooped in the fireplace this week - why would they do that??
glad the dog is doing well on the medication.

Happy Saturday 🥂
I need to get a few jobs done this long weekend. Putting away summer clothes and getting warmer ones out is a must. Plus lots of garden tidying. Also want to give the house a good clean.
Doing a live WW ClubFit class shortly followed by a trip to Mr T, don’t need much just a couple of things I couldn’t get from Lidl on Thursday.DS and the GKs will be here later. I’m thinking about meeting them at a local park as there’s an event on with food, music and activities for kids.Curry night tonight. Going to try a new recipe, deciding between a couple that I have the ingredients for.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

We went to the local park event in the end and the GKs enjoyed painting pebbles at a kids craft stall. Mr SA pestered until he got a sausage roll and coffee from one of the stalls £5.60 😱 then he had the cheek to say not as nice as Greggs (less than half the price). The younger cat has done something to her tail and it looks droopy, possibly stung by a bee?A local woman stupidly left her dog outside the local Co-op last night and it was stolen. Thankfully it was found today. She’s learned her lesson the hard way and has been very lucky. I’d never leave my dog outside a shop.On the way back from the park I popped in the Co-op and picked up a pack of 3 peppers, cherry tomatoes and tender stem broccoli all reduced to 50p 👍
Ended up making the Sri Lankan curry from the Deliciously Ella app and it was gorgeous.Did just over 26,000 steps today, would be more but my FitBit kept showing exclamation marks and needed charging, so it’s currently on charge. Was so grateful to get into a warm bath when we got back home and soothe my aching legs, absolute bliss.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I have never left my dog anywhere on her own either, not in the garden, the car or any shop. So dangerous! I will take her when fuelling up the car, but only places were I can see her through the window and she can see me…and she’s locked in with the alarm on, for about a minute tops. She gets worried if we lose eye contact 😢 imagine how frightened that poor dog was 😕 It would be my worst nightmare.
One of our cats has a droopy tail. He damaged it fighting (they’re all indoor cats too). He looks normal until he holds it up in the air and half of it droops.Shame about the sausage roll!!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Morning.Have been awake since 5 but then I’m used to getting up at that time for work so it’s set in my body clock like an internal alarm.
I don’t plan to go far today, just the park across the road with the dog. It will be NSD 5 for September.I want to get some garden tidying done and some housework. Got a big stack of ironing - on the plus side the laundry basket is just about empty, although I’m sure Mr SA will remedy that.I need to do a meal plan for next week, finish my book, do some Spanish and make a Quorn lasagne for tonight’s dinner. The younger cat’s tail still looks droopy but she doesn’t appear to be in pain and she’s eating well and playing. I can remember it happening to another one of my cats in the past and it righted itself after a few days.I was so annoyed with myself last night, I eventually sat down to watch TV just after 8pm, opened the Prosecco and was asleep by 9pm. Woke up at 11 and went to bed having lost Saturday night ☹️ Oh well plenty of Prosecco for tonight if nothing else 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
