I think the young cat might have an infection from a bite as she has a lump on her tail 😩 She’s eating and has been out but sleeping more than usual.
DD said Mr M was really busy today almost like Christmas Eve.Can’t believe I missed a plane drawing heart shapes in the sky where I live for a wedding at a venue just down the road. Must’ve been cleaning, cooking or reading 😕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Hope cat is OK.
Must admit the other half did have to go to the shop today to get a few bits. We had no coffee in the house 😳
He did go to the tip with the lavender clippings and garden waste on the way though. The car smells nice 😀3 -
Bit late posting today. I hadn’t realised how gripped I would be by the Queen’s state funeral, I couldn’t stop watching it.
Earlier we took the dog for a run on the park and I put away my summer clothes and got the autumn/winter ones out.
Mr SA has been pestering for food all day. For someone who barely moves he’s forever ravenous. Very annoying at 11am when he was already putting in his lunch order 😡DD bought me a new cookbook for my birthday last month, Dominique’s Kitchen. I’m trying the Sticky Salmon Noodle Traybake from it tonight. Loads of recipes in there that sound right up my street as I love Asian food, might even give tofu another try.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

We were glued to the funeral too. Amazing.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

They really did The Queen proud with the funeral. I had it on but dipped in and out - I was in more than I actually expected.
Hope the cat is ok.I had to laugh about Mr SA and his sausage roll not being as good as Greg’s 😂January spends - £587.584 -
Morning (just). WFH today and this morning has been manic!
New stair/landing carpet being fitted this afternoon. Should've been this morning but he's been round to change the time. BG should've been here this morning but postponed until next Tuesday.
Mr M order arrived early this morning, no missing items or subs.
Quick sort of finances and have a total underspend of £129.33 across all spending pots this 4 week period. Some oddments have been sent to the Christmas pot and the rest has gone back into respective sinking funds.
Have opened a new Regular Saver account with the Coventry. My old one matured so have transferred £500 out of it to start off the new one. I like that you aren't tied to a set amount each month as long as it's not over £500.
The pond filter I returned over a week ago still hasn't got back to Amazon. I tracked it on Evri and it's still showing as on its way back to the retailer. I need to chase this up as it doesn't usually take this long.
The younger cat is moving her tail more, still need to keep an eye on it though.

Well done on a great underspend! I had a quick look at the Coventry accounts and it's food for thought - I can't explain my extreme reluctance to increase my pension contributions, even to myself, so I need to think about alternatives for savings.
Good to hear that cat seems to be recovering.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Sun_Addict said: The underspend was only that much because we were on holiday for the first week of that 4 week period, so feel like I've cheated a bit 😆
I suppose as both of us had a holiday pot, savings are to be expected in food spending unless we entirely self cater, but it's complicated, isn't it!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
