Hotpot with cheesy dumplings sound lovely. Will have a look at making that. Do you buy a ready made hotpot or make your own. A local butchers make their own pies which are gorgeous, so might buy a hotpot off them as a treat and make my own dumplings.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.003

It has been so muggy today, it kept trying to rain, then the sun kept trying to come out. It’s windy too but a really warm wind. The cupboard of doom is tidy once again 🥳 I keep opening it to admire it 😆
Have done a bit of weeding in the back garden and on the driveway at the front. The dog has been on the park twice and to the fair. I’ve also done a litter pick on the park, it wasn’t too bad to be honest. I’ve had an email from the woman who runs the friends of the park group to say she has a small gift for me to say thank you for litter picking on the park regularly. The dog is getting really crafty and is refusing to walk anywhere unless it’s to chase her ball on the park. She just wants to sit on the scooter with Mr SA. You should see the smug look she gives me when eventually she gets her way 😐I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Photo of the fair, not a very big one, more geared to younger children but great to see it back. It will eventually form part of the largest travelling fair in Europe in a few weeks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

What a lovely gift. You are right a small gesture of appreciation from bosses goes a long way to make employees happy. I wish more would realise that even a word of thanks is appreciated.

I used to love a good fair. I was trying to see if I recognised the park with us both living in the same county.

Morning, happy Monday 😊
Decided to WFH today, I've got a busy morning and needed to crack on. Only a 4 day week as I have Friday off.
Finances have been done and overall I had a £23.27 underspend across all budget pots. £3.27 has gone to the Christmas pot and £20 has gone into the general spends pot. Nice fresh new budget period starts today.
Have received a statement from Octopus and am £203 in credit.
It won't be a NSD as I need to nip to the shop later. I'm going to go to Lidl for what we need as it will get the steps count up. Also got a live strength training session after work.
Tonight's dinner is spiced butternut squash stew with herby dumplings (made an extra portion of the dough I made for Mr SA's dumplings yesterday). This is a WW recipe I make on a regular basis as it's so tasty, it will make 4 portions, so will have 1 for tomorrow's lunch and I'll freeze the rest for a quick meal another day. I made 4 portions of the veggie paella yesterday so will have 1 for lunch today and the other 2 are in the freezer.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
