Had our energy statement through this morning as well. We are £135 in credit.

Would have liked the credit to be more than that by this time of year. May make an extra payment to the account before too long and give it a boost.

    Morning all

    WFH again today.

Just waiting for the Mr M delivery to arrive, no missing items or subs. this week's voucher was £2 off fish and I'm also collecting the virtual stamps for £34 off your summer shop if you spend £90 in 4 weeks out of 6. The good thing is that the spend is counted before the family discount is taken off so I don't need to actually spend £90.

Sadly my tomato plants that were doing really well look like they're dying. The leaves are really droopy, not sure if I've been over watering them in the hot weather. The tomatoes are just starting to ripen too, such a shame if I lose them.

Exercise today is a target of 15k steps, lunchtime bums and tums and resistance band training after work.

Tonight's dinner is a stir fry to use up some veg.

Tackled a job from my list yesterday and did a stock take of store cupboard items. I now have a list to hand for when I'm meal planning so I know what I've got in stock and what needs using up. I've been soaking some out of date Lentilles Verdes overnight ready to cook today to turn into lentil, tomato and feta salad for work lunches tomorrow and Thursday. This will also more of less finish off the feta (well salad cheese) I bought last week, I usually end up throwing it away if I don't use it up quickly as there's only me likes it.

Today's nasty job to tackle is sort out the printer heads on my printer. They've seized up from lack of use and have gone beyond the printer head clean stage. You Tube here I come for a tutorial on that one. I could do with giving the kitchen a good clean too.

The Mr SA and his prescription saga have started again where the chemist doesn't have the prescription and I've had to chase up the doctors. They told me to register him for the NHS app so he can order them through there. I couldn't tell a word the receptionist was saying she had such a heavy foreign accent and I'm none the wiser whether they've sent his prescription through to the chemists now or not. His tablets run out today so I hope so.

We have lost all of our turnip plants this week. They were doing really well and then suddenly gave up the will to live.

On the plus side the carrots and beetroot are doing really well. We have just planted a second lot of beetroot as we have cleared one planter already. Hopefully they will have enough time to grow before the cold weather starts.

Good to see that energy account credit building up, @Sun_Addict - It's our best line of defence as we go into winter.

I’ve lost my peas and courgettes haven’t produced anything this year. I’m wondering what can be sewn in my empty pots for later in the year.
You're really having a nightmare with the prescriptions. I think a complaint is in order 👍

I found out the problem with the tomatoes, they were sitting in a pool of water for some reason.

I think the printer is sorted 🥳 Appears to be printing now anyway.

As Prime is going up by £1 a month, decided to pay up front £79 for the year which will save £28.88. We do use it a fair bit. Brings it down to £6.58 a month against the £8.99 it’s going up to.

Everything is going up! The coffee pods I buy were 3 for £10, then they were 2 for £7, now they’re 2 for £8. I get discount on them thanks to DD so 2 for £7.20 in reality. Might have to weigh up cost effectiveness of a bean to cup machine. There’s no way I’m drinking instant 🤢 We only have 2 coffees a day each. Needs to be something Mr SA can easily use without making a mess - good luck with that 😆 I use coffee bags at work, they’re ok but not as nice as the pods. Life’s too short to drink bad coffee.

Came out of a work meeting to find a huge frog on the kitchen floor. I put it in the pond but not sure if it will survive The young cat is the culprit no doubt.

Payday on Friday and have viewed my payslip. Will be just short of £30 better off, with last month’s payrise that brings it to £100 a month more in my back pocket than in May but in reality actually worse off thanks to cost of living rises. Very thankful that I have the extra though.

The other half uses the NHS app to order his prescriptions.

It usually works ok. Our surgery are stopping taking repeat prescription orders by any other method shortly.

Not actually sure what the receptionists are there for now. We have to book appointments through the app as well which isn't a great system. There are never any left!!

I’ve had a text from the NHS portal this morning. Typed the code they gave me and it wouldn’t accept it 🙄 half an hour on the phone to get through to see what it was 😏
Pleased the prescription was ok this time.
