Good morning. I hope MrSA is better when he wakes up.My dentists are still not doing checkups 😖 I keep trying, but it’s still just emergencies here. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

He must be feeling better as I’m sure he’d have let you know if he wasn’t.January spends - £587.582

Absolutely nothing wrong with him today, apart from the ongoing issues obviously. The biopsy site is scabbing over and looks fine. He has a follow up appointment in July.I was in and out very quickly at the dentist, nothing needs doing so that’s that for 6 months apart from a hygienist appointment in July. Nothing to pay, I’m on Denplan as he’s private.Made one of my old favourites for dinner tonight- prawn harissa orzo 😋
It’s been a beautiful day today, really warm, but it has just started to turn stormy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Morning, another lovely sunny start to the day so instead of coming downstairs and just logging on after breakfast I went for a walk. So just short of 7k steps done already and I took the soft plastic recycling to the big Mr T. It just shows how much soft plastic used to just go into the bin as I'd filled a large carrier bag since Saturday!
NSD 4/10 today, resisted the temptation to buy anything from Mr T.
Will take the dog on the park this lunchtime and I'm doing a live FitSteps session at 6pm.
Making a spiced butternut squash stew with herb dumplings (made with yoghurt and flour) for tonight's dinner, not exactly fitting with the warm weather but I don't tend to match food to the weather and would still have soup for my lunch no matter how hot it is outside!
When I was shouting the cats in at 9pm last night I could hear cheering and loud singing in my back garden. Realised the noise was being carried over from a certain football team's home ground and they had done rather well! Don't ask me what in, something to do with Wembley, I don't do football 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
I haven't posted my totals for a while now:
Mortgage £12,193.10
Additional borrowing part of mortgage £ 4,062.74
Windows £ 3,253.70
Total £19,509.54
Emergency Fund £6,400.00
Regular Saver £2,750.00
Christmas £ 263.32
There are my house/holiday/spending pots but these fluctuate so much I'm not including them. I will need to lend myself the money for the living room refurb next week as it's happening a month earlier than expected and the regular saver doesn't mature until the end of June.
In other MSE type dealings, I had £17 on my B00ts Advantage Card that I was going to lose shortly if I don't use the card. For today only they are doing 20% off premium beauty and I've just used the last of my Clinique melon pop lipstick. It was £17.50 so the 20% off has brought it down to payable with my points. So I've got my new lipstick, used my card and still managed a NSD. Picking up the lipstick from store on Friday. Happy days 😁I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
