After taking the dog out, spent the rest of the day in the garden, potting on aubergines, peppers and herbs now they’re growing strong. Finally got around to sowing the courgettes. Moved a really heavy Buddha from one part of the garden to the other, took me ages as it was so heavy. Still need to do some cutting back. Loads of buttercups out plus a flower that looks exactly like a buttercup but pink. Anyone know what that could be - same leaves, same flowers but pink? The bees certainly like it.

I’m wrestling with myself whether to get one of those hanging egg chairs. I have the perfect spot in the garden for it. On offer with QVC at the moment, a lot cheaper than elsewhere 🤔 Shouldn’t really as I need to buy things for the living room refurb.  So tempted though.

Yes, I agree. Plant with pink flowers is a hardy geranium - probably a geranium macchorryza variety (wrong spelling!).

Thank you, glad I know what it is now. Probably gifted by birds as is most of my garden 😆 What I do have a lot of, apart from buttercups and Garlic Mustard, is Valerian, but I really want poppies, they are even growing in the pavements locally but sadly not in my garden. I also have a very rampant geranium round the pond, I did plant this one though and wanted it to spread to cover the industrial size pond pump - it’s done that and more 😆

I have just sowed poppies in pots on my windowsill! I will plant them out when they have sprouted enough to survive….we have lots of randomness too, from birds and also from bulbs creeping (loads of daffs, tulips, bluebells which gradually multiply on their own), but like you, no poppies.

I got the egg chair. What sealed the deal was it came on 4 interest free payments. It has fantastic reviews, mostly saying you will fall asleep in it and get no work done 🤣
