Hellesbelles said:Hi SA. Long tome lurker here!
Just wanted to say I bought the QVC chair last summer and am so pleased with it. It was my treat to myselfSitting in the sun with a book after a stressful day at work is fabulous. Hope you get plenty of "you-time" to enjoy it!

On a sad note I scrolled through some old phone messages earlier and found one from my friend who recently passed away saying she’d left some lavender plants in my driveway. Exactly one year ago, bless her we didn’t know she wouldn’t be here a year later 😢 I still have one of those plants and am nurturing it as if it was gold.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

That is so sad, SA. I remember my friend who we lost last year, every time I wear a certain pair of jeans as we had almost identical ones and joked about it. The little things are powerful.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning, happy Monday.
Working from home today as the builder starts work shortly. Will have to play it by ear whether or not I can go in the office this week.
As Mr SA can't access the living room to watch TV we are having TV v radio wars here. I don't want the TV on while I'm working and he's getting TV withdrawal symptoms so has gone upstairs to watch it.
It should be NSD 7/10 no plans to go anywhere or buy anything. Exercise will be walking the dog at lunchtime and a live strength training class later.
Roll on Friday 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
It’s good that you have the option to work from home whilst the work is going ahead. I can imagine how Mr SA is stressing about having no tv and his routines messed with. It will be worth it in the end.January spends - £587.583

The living room is now just a shell. The builder managed to take the TV down from the wall, embarrassingly very easily. He can work around the sofa thank goodness. DD is appalled we're keeping the sofa declaring it old fashioned - it's only 5 or 6 years old, in fact DFS are still selling it! I'm not taking any notice as I still like it and I'm loathe to buy a new one while the kitten is still sharpening her claws on the furniture.
Mr SA is a nightmare today. First he couldn't find his scooter keys and we were hunting all over for them, they were in his coat pocket! Then he couldn't find his wallet anywhere. He'd changed his bum bag for a different one, so checked the one he was using yesterday, not there. After lots of panicking he found it in his bum bag after all. He changes his coats/bags so often this is how things get mislaid. Aargh 😫I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

So easy to do & it would mean the memory would live on even if the original lavender dies back.4

Mr SA lost his keys again when he yet again changed his coat. He’s been hard work today.I’ve only done 10,000 steps today as I’ve been so busy with work and mainly confined to the house apart from taking the dog on the park.I finished work just after 3 and spent a bit of time in the garden, tidying up before doing the strength training class.Tonight’s dinner was free courtesy of a Good Food magazine voucher - filled fresh tortellini. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and it was due to go out of date so thought I’d better use it. I added some roast veg and salad and topped it with some home grown basil. It made two portions so will have the other half for tomorrow’s lunch. I don’t normally do ready meal type things, it was ok, wouldn’t buy it, I think it should’ve been about £2.60, not worth it in my opinion.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Forgot to say the kitten has had her first bushy tail today after being chased down the garden by a very large tom cat 🤣 She was scared though, poor thing. None of the animals are happy about the building works especially the dog, they don’t like the noise.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
