Morning, happy Sunday.
Unfortunately another bad night with Mr SA and one of his very unpleasant accidents 🤢 I’m insisting he wears the pads I got him from now onwards. It’s alright for him to say he doesn’t need them then sleep soundly in bed while I’m cleaning up after him 🤬
I’m almost looking forward to going back to the office tomorrow just to get a break from him although not looking forward to getting up at 5am.Plans for today are dog walking, do next week’s meal plan, make a nut roast for tonight, Spanish lessons, finish my book, lots of washing and ironing, good clean of bathroom and living room. It will be NSD 11/12 today.Thank you Mr SA for all the additional washing and cleaning 😩I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
SA you have a heart like a lion how you cope with that hold down a job and keep sane I will never know I know my hubby is hard work with his moods and his ailments but not to that extent I honestly don’t know how you keep going and totally understand how you look forward to going into the office and how much you look forward to the very rare occasions you get to meet your friends take care of yourself3

Oh how awful SA. I am grateful Mum isn't so bad as that. I hope he does wear the pads. I can deal with a lot (thank God I can moan here) but !!!!!! is too much! I really do admire you and my sister. Izzy is right, you do have the heart of a lion.
I was thinking when I read the other day about you going back to work at work could have the odd day in the office that wasn't in the office? ie a day out to see friends?
XXXNevertheless she persisted.4 -
I don’t know how I keep sane. I can assure you I don’t have the heart of a lion, I’ve made it quite clear how fed up of it I am to him in no uncertain terms. I keep reminding him if it wasn’t for me he would be fending for himself in a bedsit or one bedroom flat, skint and unable to afford beer or Netflix. He seriously thinks I don’t do anything for him.Took the dog for a long walk in the glorious sunshine so 12,000 steps done in one go. There was a football match on the park so didn’t bother going there.Buffy don’t think I haven’t thought of that 😆 I might even have one of my shopping days in another town.Meal plan is done:
Today - nut roast (an old favourite Thrifty Lesley recipe)
Monday - tomato, chickpea and spinach curry leftover from yesterday
Tuesday - fish pie with cauliflower mash (an old favourite recipe from a WW cookbook)
Wednesday - rice stuffed pepper
Thursday - veg lasagne (from the freezer) and salad
Friday - stir fry (to use up any bits of veg that need it)
Saturday - veggie burger, wedges and salad
Sunday - veg sausage and pearl barley hotpot (trying a new Miguel Barclay recipe cut out of a magazine)
Making a batch of squash, chickpea and lime soup to take to work for my lunches.Might spend an hour in the garden this afternoon tidying up. It needs it after all the storms.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
I'm sorry to hear about your awful night. It's not getting any easier, is it? Even though Mr SA won't accept respite, I wonder if you can get help in the house? Not sure how it would work but maybe a carer/housekeeper so you could go off duty for a while.
I'd book yourself that shopping day asap if I were you. Give yourself something to look forward to.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Plan two days out SA XXXNevertheless she persisted.3 -
I echo what others have said - you are amazing. He is very fortunate to have you. I'm also in awe of how you find the time and motivation to eat healthily, exercise and work too.How about one of your booked days off being a fake going into the office day and having a day out somewhere (minus Mr SA, the dog and the cats?)4
