Have spent a good part of the day completing an application for another job on promotion. What a palaver. What happened to the days when you just submitted a CV and the names of two previous employers for references. Anyway it’s done. Not heard anything about the other job I applied for yet which is very odd as you get to know one way or the other pretty quickly generally.

After work did a Christmas Zumba workout from You Tube with A Sulu, it was brilliant. Have done one of his Zumba sessions before and really enjoyed it.

Both cats have been running riot around the house having mad half hours 🤣

  • I've felt a bit like you over the last few days SA in that I'm not really feeling much of a Christmas vibe  Mr SA and the Christmas pudding hat story made me laugh though!😃

Morning, have been up and about since 5.30. The cats have been tearing around the house again. The older cat has got a new lease of life 😆

Started the day off well by winning £30 on last night’s Lotto 🥳

Have done the Mr M online shop for Tuesday. Needs to be finalised by midnight. Used the £34 off voucher. I’ve got a veg box delivery coming next week too from a local greengrocer. We don’t really need any extra food just because it’s Christmas. Only got DS and the GKs coming Christmas Eve and I only do a buffet. That’s if we’re not on lockdown again like last year.

Not sure what we’re doing today. We might go to the local park with a Christmas market again, take the dog. They had a singer on yesterday and it looked really festive. Most places are going to be busy now and it’s difficult with Mr SA and his huge scooter in crowds, it’s just too stressful.

I think the main reason I’m not feeling very festive is because I’m WFH I’m not going into town and seeing the lights and shops. Missing the office build up to Christmas too, drinks out, etc. Can’t have it both ways though and I prefer to be WFH.

I have started feeling festive this last few days. Knowing that everything is now done and delivered and we really don't have much other than fresh vegetables to buy now has really got me in the mood for Christmas.

Knowing that we have done Christmas without relying on credit cards this year has also helped.

We went to the local park Christmas market. It was ok, stalls a bit few and far between, very much a last day, not much left vibe. Mr SA got his beloved sausage roll and coffee, I had a lovely winter spiced tea. Then he announced the zip had broke on his new jacket 😩😢 He’s only had it a week. I can send it back no problem but it’s all started up again, him tapping on his phone finding out of date websites and shops that no longer exist in his desperate search for yet another coat 😩😢 He now wants to go in town before Christmas. I am so fed up of this 🤬
