She’s a lovely cat. Despite initial reservations I’m glad we’ve got her.Did Joe Wicks latest HIIT workout after work, apparently his hardest one ever - oh my days, whose idea was that, good grief 😆
Used my new slow cooker to make a lovely veggie chilli, had it with sweet potato wedges, it was delicious 😋 Two portions left to freeze for another day.Put up some fairy lights on the fence running down our driveway, they look really festive and only cost me £6 from Mr T, half price.

Happy Friday 🎄
This time next week it will be Christmas Eve. I still don't feel very festive, I think it's because apart from going to the Christmas market a couple of weeks ago, I haven't done anything remotely festive. Work has been manic too, although it's starting to slow down as people break up early.
DD didn't know what to get me for Christmas so I asked her to get me the new Ainsley Harriot cookbook. She usually gets me a bottle of gin but I have 3 bottles already and don't tend to drink it as much in winter as I like a lot of ice in it. I'd been looking at the book but couldn't justify buying another one so soon after buying the Pinch of Nom one so to receive it as a gift is ideal.
I'm still undecided about going to my cousin's funeral next week. I've booked the day off and looked up train times and that's about it. It's a long way to go but I'd really like to pay my respects and it would be nice to see my cousins again. I won't buy the tickets until Monday just in case anything happens with restrictions. I'll also need to do a LFT on the morning.
DD brought all her clothes out of quarantine last night so the laundry is full to the brim. Another one of her unvaccinated colleagues is in hospital with Covid. This particular woman was someone who joined anti vaccine protests earlier in the year. The unvaccinated colleague DD caught it from is out of hospital but still struggling to breathe, he has decided to get vaccinated and wishes he had in the first place.
I dreamt last night that Gino di Campo came to my house to complain about the fairy lights in my drive keeping him awake 🤣🤣 Why him I do not know 🤣🤣
I'm going to Lidl later today so that will be my morning walk sorted as it's quite a hike. I'll get Mr SA to pick up the bags and bring the dog so she can have a good walk back.
I've received a £34 off a £40 Mr M shop voucher so will be utilising that on next week's delivery.
Mr SA is already up and about, he doesn't usually get up before 9am. He's quite confused and stumbling about in the kitchen. I enjoy my quiet first thing in the mornings before he gets up - going to be a long day.

It’s well known that Gino doesn’t like fairy lights 😬 I wish I’d had your dream. I oddly remembered mine this morning, but it was my XH taking my car and me shouting at him and jabbing his face with my finger (I should have done that back in the day) 🤣

I hope Mr S_A is ok. I walked past a Gino restaurant yesterday and there were plenty of lights in there. I can't remember all of the words spelled out but I do remember thinking that it was a lot of lights for that early in the morning 😁4

I am so blooming cross with myself. Went to Lidl, could've sworn I heard my Lidl plus card ping when I swiped it at the till, got home to find it hadn't. This means my spend hasn't registered and I didn't get the discounts on my downloaded vouchers. This is why I prefer to use self checkouts so I can double check. It's not much money in the grand scheme of things but still annoying.
This is what happens when you do all this jiggery-pokery to save money 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
