thanks everyone. I got a little upset at times. Then of course I worried about him home alone, but he was fine. People are so kind
  • Hi Sheila - you are doing well. Keep letting people be kind to you - it actually helps them and it helps you. Often the attention is rightly focused on the ill person but the other person also benefits massively by allowing kindness without feeling guilty. I remember fondly my work colleagues who just thought to made me a cup of tea or remembered to ask how hospital appointments had gone.
Lessonslearned - I hope the house move has gone smoothly and you are starting to feel at home in your new house.

    Hello Everyone

Just thought I'd drop by now that I finally have broadband again.

I moved in on 10th September. All went very well, the removal men were really helpful. I'm getting pretty straight and gradually getting organised, mainly concentrating on the outside for now and on getting ready for winter. I decided to opt for a new boiler, so that will be done in the next week or so.

Other than that, any major works can wait.

All in all things are going pretty smoothly so far and I think I'm going to be happy here. The neighbours are all very nice and have made me feel welcome. I think this is going to be the new start I desperately needed. I feel more positive and optimistic than I have done in a long while. I think moving house was the jump start I neeeded.

    Hope you are all well.

Sending hugs to those that need them.

    Hi LL

Glad the move went smoothly and that you feel it was the right move for you. I'd sort the outside too, plenty of time for the inside as the days grow shorter!
