    Kitties that's a shame.

I'm much as before. Seeing a psychologist tomorrow.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

out of my three children, it is my son in scotland who is most supportive. He told me today that it was ok to be enthusiastic, it is who I am. I kind of needed that because I felt as though I went up whoosh, thinking this had to be the perfect one. Yes estate agents are definitely lower than a snakes belly

The photo of the front showed lawn with a 10 foot conifer on the left and you could see the `picture postcard` house. In reality, the entrance through the front gate had been hacked through and that lawn was postage stamp covered in tall entangled jungle. Not a good start because that was the best of it. The grimey, damp dangerous house was not fit for an old lady and how they let their parent live there, I will never know. Family live next door in a grimey `newer` house built in the family garden. Perhaps they hoped she would slip down those very dangerous steps. Estate agent said she had nearly slipped herself

Torry, I do hope that you continue to make the small steps that we see on here, you won`t notice them but we do. The psychologist will help and good luck

So I slept like a log last night, got too cold sitting and went up at 9, my hot water bottle had arrived so I took that to bed. Last time for a hot water bottle was many years ago. Strangely it was very comforting, bed socks on, bottle on my tum and I managed to read 4 pages. The hwb was like a cuddle

Torry......good luck with the psychologist today. Hope you find it helpful.

Kittie.....do you watch any of the house type programmes. One of my favourites is the £100k house. The idea is they try and build a house for £100k, excluding land. Most of the time they go over budget but sometimes they get pretty close.

They have an architect and a designer to help them. These two guys are brilliant, they come up with some really great ideas and are very much into shaving costs. I have recorded several and watched a couple last night. I can thoroughly recommend them. You do not have to be building from scratch to pinch some of the ideas, they work just as well with a renovation or refurb project.

Went for my massage yesterday, booked another for next week. It is going to take two or three before I feel any real benefit. At least I feel I can manage some yoga stretches today. A bit more gentle decuttering today and maybe a potter in the garden if it is warm enough.

No I have never watched that LL. I`ll look forward to seeing back programmes. I do watch escape to the country and it just struck me that this is an easy programme to do, houses more isolated are often one-off better builds and often have a decent garden. Its the wrong programme for me, anything on the edge of anywhere is now surrounded by new builds. I absolutely don`t mind a new build but don`t want a Bob Dylan one, surrounded and looked over on all sides. All that concrete and hard standing drains me

Its important to be gentle with ourselves LL. I am going to do a bit of de-cluttering later, I have done the allotment and am just about to eat an egg and drink coffee

    LL

I had dds telling me to aim for 10,000 steps eventually but cheered up when I found an article that suggested people in their sixties or with health problems should gradually aim for about 8,000 steps.

I have unpacked the vibrating step and will try it out this afternoon for a few minutes and need to do a quick hoover and tidy before youngest dd and maybe others come round tomorrow. Not sure how many are staying over so will do some shopping once I know what the plans are.

Planning a late breakfast of an omelette and then making chicken soup with loads of veg in the pressure king for later.

    Hugs to all

Not sure how many steps I’ll manage today even if do strap my knee up. It is very painful today and feels hot so probably inflamed. I think I could manage about 8k eventually but 10k would be pushing it. I was up to about 7k before my holiday.

I managed to go to the recycling plant, my car is an automatic which makes driving easier for me. At some point I could probBly have another steroid injection but apparently it is best not to overdo.

Elona. Will be interested to see how you get on with your vibrating plate. I did buy one of those pain gone pens......i it doesn’t do much if I’m honest. I have just slathered on some tiger balm, the red one which is really strong. It helps take the edge off. :rotfl:

Torry, good luck at the psychologist from me too.

I've stripped my bed, washed all the linen and it's now on the line. I've vacuumed through and done my back in. I have chronic arthritis and having had it from my twenties should know better. I will probably struggle for a few days now. I was so enthusiastic with the nice weather I went overboard.

I've had a look on the interweb to see if there are any houses up for sale in my area, I'm not moving - ever, but thought I would have a look and see what was available. There is not a single house around here, not one. It's a really popular area but being Spring I thought there might be something. Serves me right for being nosy.

It really is a lovely day today, a bit chilly but no heating on and I have the windows open and also the back door. I absolutely love having fresh air blowing through, it really lifts my spirits.

    Hugs.

I have a vibrating plate, I must use it

It stands on its end in another room so is out of daily sight. I heard good reports about them. Your swollen knee LL, it is telling you something and you should listen. You can sit on the plate and lean back for starters. Strengthens the core and the knees are safe. Every time you put a foot down, you transfer 3.4 times the body weight onto that one knee. I don`t walk, I cycle, have been out this morning, 6 miles and doing the physics and maths it is all about using the energy to transfer the mass, my mass plus that that of my heavy bike, I got the lung/heart exercise too. To balance my strong legs, I keep small weights and elastic bands handy, to strengthen my arm muscles

When I was looking to move, I looked every day. I also booked the viewing for this house the minute I saw it. Glad I did now, I would still be in the other house and very depressed otherwise. Fingers tightly crossed something that you love will become available in the area you want soon.
