The poundshop has multi packs you can split. I got big bags with sparkly bracelets, rings, combs, slides - the gel pens will go down well. Those blower things - popular with parents. They also had six packs of twisty, coloured straws.

Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts

again from wilkinson, or tesco, do boxes of 24 chunky crayons for under a pound. split these into 5 or more, and tie with ribbon.

small boxes of raisins - sold in multipacks, so they don't all gorge on choccie.

boots were selling off for under 40p each, scary monster flannels that expand in water - come the size of box of matches

    Hi,

My little boy will be two on 6th November and I wanted to mark the occasion by inviting a couple of his little friends around on the Friday afternoon (4th). His family will be around the rest of the weekend.

I just wanted some suggestions as to what format it could take and what sort of things we could do. I wasn't anticipating more than 6 kids max or more than a couple of hours really as they are really only little yet to understand too much about parties.

I want a more traditional party but I will give the kiddies a party bag if I can do a cheapy one for them! (not mean, just sensible!)

Oh and we have a cat so pls noone suggest fireworks even if it is bonfire weekend!!!

    Thanks in advance.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

My best suggestion is to try the Families Board. There are all sorts of threads on parties that will be off help to you, so I shall move this post across for you shortly.

  • You could try doing a fancy dress. Turning up as a king, policeman, fireman etc can be as much fun for mum as it is for the kids.

You can get the other mums to help do a pass the parcel etc. All the traditional games that are so much fun.

Although at age 2 I wouldn't expect too much from the event. Set up lots of toys and games, play some fun music and let them have a play time too!
