I have found that two year olds like 'little' food that they can pick at. Cubes of cheese, seedless grapes, tiny sausages and sandwiches cut really small are always popular. Also if you buy fruit drinks in sports bottles it really helps cut down on spillages.
Have a great time and take lots of photos. _party_:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

My DD will be one in 7 weeks, and i'm having a party for her. There will be approx 20 kids there, half will be in the 10mth-1year age range, and the other half will be 2-3yo.
can you give me some ideas of unisex party bag fillers, suitable for young ages? so I dont have to differentiate between younger and older kids, and boys and girls.
I've so far got 25 bags from ebay, great prices
so i plan to fill them all, just in case.
thinking of putting in
- colouring pencils
- colouring pad
- small box of raisins
- toothbrush
am searching for 25 small sheets of unisex stickers
anymore ideas will be greatly appreciated.0 -
try tesco were selling off 'summer' toys, eg micro own brand cars for about 20p. also bag of 4 bag of flourescent bouncy balls - think these were about 30p.
also try local poundland/99p store. they should sell big boxes of stickers, so you could cut the rolls and add a large chunk of stickers.
poundland have lego men toothbrushes incl a lego man at the mo - see my thread on shop..drop.
big boxes of chunky crayons at tesco or wilkos for 1 pound for 20 or 25. tie up with ribbon in groups of 5.
how about some of the scary rubber spiders also cheap now for halloween, or tesco/wilko etc also sell bags.tubes of rubber dinosaurs/mini playdoh/farm animals etc.
hope this helps0 -
i thought of most of the stuff mentioned above, but they not really suitable for under 1's. got the crayons and pads0

sorry, can't think of much that is suitable for the under ones. how about big mini boxes of baby books, and split them
then you would, however, need to seperate the bags for under and over ones0 -
balloons? Not blown up of course, they won't fit!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

When I did my DD's 1st birthday recently I had the same problem. I ended up with a small party bag for the babies containing a box of raisins, a small bag of choc buttons and a bib (bought 5 for £2.50 at woolworths). For the big kids I just bought a sticker book for £1 each from the local market and teamed it with coloured pencils (72 for £1 at the pound shop, I split the pack).

bubbles always go down well - mums will obviously have to blow them for the babies.Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!0

Mini boxes of yoghurt coated raisins such as ones sold at Asda. I included these in my children's party bags and they were equally popular with mums and kids.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0

You could make your own play doh and run off a few personlized labels. I got some mini self seal bags from WHSmith and designed some tags on the computer to stick on them.
You could add any colour you fancy and even some glitter.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0
