How about a dinosaur pass the parcel, you could get some cheap dinosaur wrapping paper and get some small dinosaurs to wrap in each layer?
Alternatively what about these?

I looked at the link frizz_head gave, and in it, some one has written about a great game!
Just cut out a dinosaur shape and decorate it, cut out 3 holes (quite big because ur son is 4) and then make little bean bags that they can try and get through the holes. Each one gets a sweetie or something?:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -
how about instead of musical chairs musical islands where they have to get to the island first which could be anything ie green paper or something and each time you take one away ... or musical corners but with dinasour names
last one there is out or any one at that corner is out0 -
And the final game is definitely sleeping dinosaurs ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

I'm having a party for my 4 year old daughter v. soon and there's rather a lot of kids so I need to pick up some really cheap prizes. I thought about going to the pound shop but I need to go even cheaper and £1 per prize if I can without getting rubbish.
So far I've picked up a pack of 5 sparkly playdough pots from Wilkos for £1.99 and I'm going to split them so 40p each. Any other ideas?
Also need really cheap stuff for party bags.0 -
I didn't do party bags. I made a lucky dip box. It was filled with polystyrene packing shapes and wrapped presents. Blue boys, red girls and they got a fun size chocolate bar as well. I'd buy multi packs and split them, they get a bigger gift rather than lots of cheap little gifts. It worked out I spent less money and the children liked getting a present to unwrap before they go home.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

You can get some nice little craft kits in the pound shops. They make nice prizes.
For party bags, I tend to just put sweets, a balloon and a piece of birthday cake in. That keeps the cost down. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Pick up packets of gel pens, pencils, erasers, note pads, jewellery, tattoos, balloons etc from Wilkinsons or Pound shop and split them.
Also check out bargain boxes in card shops etc. I bought 10 name keyrings for 10p each in Clinton cards, nail polishes for 50p each on BOGOF in Tesco's, set of 6 mini perfumes in Boots for £1. I buy throughout the year cheapies in readiness for party bags.
Re sweets, ice gems are less than 10p per pack and quickly fill a party bag.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

We recently did a disco for a wedding and to keep all the kids amused we gave them glow sticks (we got packs of 20 for £1 at the local poundshop). They just loved the glowing and there were bracelet connectors with them - so they made loads of bracelets/necklaces with them (even the lads loved them - they kept trying to make the largest circle out of them). Pound shops are great for that type of thing - they did last Valentine a pack of 3 self inflating balloons for £1 - you could blow them up, put them on the sticks just to decorate the tables then give them to the kids when they leave - they last for absolute ages, a great long lasting reminder
Bubbles go down well too. I picked up about 24 bottles of bubbles on ebay once for £7 inc delivery (some went in kiddies crackers for Xmas).
I remember when I was little I went to a few parties and got goodie bags, I remember one mum just put a small badge, one of those magnetic drawing things, eraser, packet of iced gems and some of those bracelet sweets in them.Everyone has a photographic memory, it's just some of them don't have film.0
