    Wow, I'm impressed.
Following InflationBusting's tip about Dublin I had a look. None of the Dublin flights took my fancy, but I started to see that there really were cheap flights available and, what's more, the website interface is 100 times better than it was last time I used it.

Booked a day-trip return to Bremen on Saturday 28th November (yes, that's a Saturday!) for my wife and our two eldest.
    Signed up to Entropay.
Cost me £10.50 and I still have £4 on my Entropay card.

Now, we must sort out our son's passport!

It's just a shame infants are still so (comparatively) expensive, otherwise we all could have gone. But I guess they need to make their money up somewhere.

    Thanks all.

Looks like RyanAir have added some more £1 seats. I booked Liverpool to Krakow mid September in the last £1 sale but when I just checked now, it seems that there are £1 flights now available for the start of September!

I flew with my sister for 5 days in Mallorca earlier this year.
2 return flights cost me the princely sum of?....

4p. No extra taxes or fees on this offer, no catches..

The flights got in early both ways.

Impressive!... nothing to criticise as I see it

  • Hi

Just returned from a trip to Frankfurt with Ryan Air. It cost £40 for two of us ( found using FlightChecker) . We had no problems and I found the staff efficient and courteous.
We may have been lucky but I will be using them again - once I've got a Visa Electron card.;)

Read a couple of posts saying that Ba etc. are cheaper than budget airlines. I don't know where they live, but up here in Scotland we are not included in these cheap fares. My only choice is ryanair or easy(to be late)jet.
If I could get flights with BA etc. for the same price as Ryanair then I would, but thats never going to happen here, BA seem to be wanting to trim their operations from Scotland, in fact soon they may rebrand to EA as they will only cover England ( we're not viable enough for them to run flights) that's why all their cheap flights are from London airports

Just to let you know Pisa is 45 mins by train or 55 mins by bus from Florance.
Pisa is 35 mins by train or 55 mins by local bus from Lucca.
Although very strange Pisa airport is 1km from central Pisa 2 mins by train or 4 mins by local bus.
Prestwick is 40 mins by train from central Glasgow ( half price rail travel with ryanair ticket). There is a problem for some people obviously in that you have to walk all of 150 mtrs , under cover, to get to the railway station.
Forli doesn't only cover Bologna it also covers the east coast.
Venice Treviso is 55 mins from venice by bus.
Venice Marco Polo is 55 mins from Venice by bus.
Venice Marco Polo is quickly accessed by water taxi, if you can afford them.
Edinburgh is within 30 mins of central Edinburgh, this is a guess but won't be far out.
Again not all Ryanair destinations are out in the sticks.
And I don't work for O'leary but am grateful to him for allowing me to fly to some great destinations without paying massive surcharges or having to fly from northern English airports, nothing wrong with them except the extra distance, or god forbid having to fly to and transfer through the London airports, adding hours onto journey times. 3 1/2 hrs to Manchester (driving) or god knows how many hours waiting at a London airport.
And we all know how well our luggage is handled by them
  • Choose 'Free online checkin' flights. My dear wife has just booked flights to Denmark end Sep £3 each way ALL IN, only £1 more than Stansted want from me for the priviledge of picking her up. It's going to be double yellow line on the drive through road - again.
Electron card from Bank of Scotland "Easycash", top up on line or instantly at BoS or Halifax with cash. Really works!

About 2 weeks ago I booked a flight for 2 with Monarch. Having just got Martin's email I've compared the cost with the cheap Ryanair offer with exactly the same details (same day, same airport, same bags etc, even virtually same flying times). The basic cost of the Ryanair flights before costs and taxes were £0 ea - the total cost with everything was £155.96. The total cost of the Monarch flights was £153.01. I know who I'd rather fly with.

Even though Monarch have an absolutely appalling reputation and are far worse than Ryanair in virtually every aspect?
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.
