Its amazing that someone can defend this.
Yes there are £1 fares, but they hardly any of them and they are nothing but bait. If there were loads of £1 fares Ryanair would not be making millions. MSE must surely know that the £1 is bait and the public are victims. But they promote away.
They fly at objectively ungodly hours to save costs. No-one wants to travel at those hours that is why they sell the slots to Ryanair cheaply. Its got nothing to do with MY preferences.0 -

How does Ryanair fill 200 aircraft, each with 189 seats operating 6 or more sectors per day then?
Ryanair is making money because it charges £10 per sector for a 15kg bag to check in.
I found a £1 flight at 11.40 am, is that ungodly?
Ryanair has departures all day, for some taking off at 6.30am and landing at 23.30 is suitable.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

I got £1 fares for a german XMas market last week, had a choice of 3 different markets at that price, not daft times either. as for your earlier post about flying in filth which airport do you use, I have flown ryanair from luton & stanstead but have yet to fly in a dirty aircraft. Plus the staff have ALWAYS been polite & friendly. the worst flying experience of my life was this year, First choice had grubby aircraft & surley staff. the nice thing about ungodly hour flights is you tend to get a "quieter" flight. Play the game & theres bargains to be had.0 -

I've had dozens maybe hundreds of flights from Ryanair for £1 or much less all in. They don't just grab you and say buy me you have to keep watching for them. I got 6 this time around. THEY ARE WERE/THERE.0 -
There were loads of £1 flights in August when the sale first started (months ago) - most will have already been sold as there are only so many "sale" seats per flight.
There have been a few different sales since last August, almost one a week. The current offer started at midnight on Sunday night and finishes tonight (Thursday) at midnight. It'll be followed by something different, probably a 5 or 10 pound sale for another few days. New seats are released each time and, as said above there were plenty available for 1 pound all in this week.0 -
Can anyone tell me if it's ok to pay with a card in someone else's name? I'm assuming it is but I'd just like to check.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

It is bait, to get people to carry on using the airline. However I only fly with them if they are cheaper than easyjet. The only time that ever happens is if theres a £1, £5 or £10 sale on which is quite often. If there isn't or I need better flight times I book with easyjet. Only gripe I have is that I've searched from now until March 2010 and can't find a date with a Friday and Sunday flight at a promotional fare less than £25 each way, but still...will just go with easyjet.
And it might be ungodly hours but look at it from my view. To get into Sunderland city centre which is the closest town to me, it's a 35 minute bus journey and costs £2.20...single! And I can get a return to another country for that. Who in their right mind would turn their nose up at that?!0 -

Are you feeling inadequate by watching people here get the bargains whilst you do not have the gumption to get them?
If you prefer to travel at times when you pay full price, why are you disparaging those who get the bargains? Let it be said again, there are bargains to be had and you fail to get them!0 -
You know, when a post is so blinkered, it just ignores all sort of sense.
Question: How does flying at 'ungodly' hours save costs? A 737 costs literally the same in staff costs, fuel and leasing expenses whether you fly it at 3am, 6pm, 12pm.
Early slots cost less - is this just a guess in an attempt to justify something? Flights start early as possible for operational reasons. A plane sitting on the tarmac is losing money for the company, whichever one it is. Starting earlier in the day allows more sectors to be flown.
How can anyone be a victim? No-one is forcing you to buy anything.
Hardly any £1 fares? Do a search for London-Dublin off peak in September/October and let me know your findings.0
