Still using stuff up as much as possible and nothing is going to waste.I had two large cooking apples given to me yesterday and they are going to go into a pie and I shall use up some of the left over pastry bits I have tucked away in the freezer I always seem to make too much and anything left is wrapped and frozen for another time and its surprising how even the smallest odds and ends add up I will have enough left over to knock up a few jam tarts for my DGS who is off on half term so it will all be used up and a bit more wriggle room in the freezer0

The chutney has been made :rotfl: Combined the ingredients from 2 recipes - but NOT the quantities
I am stunned 😳 at how well it has come out :rotfl: DH & I have both taste tested with cheese & crackers & love it - rather spicy 🥵 but delicious 😋
Have 3 medium jars & a small pot :T

Well done on getting the chutney made MrsSD.
I'm going to use up some of the LO gammon, swede & carrot mash and potatoes fried up together with some beans for dinner tonight.
Had hoped there would have been more veg left so that I could have frozen some but unfortunately only enough left for tonight. There will however by some LO mash potato so will make duchess potatoes and freezer those.

I made some apple crumble tonight, from apples in the garden. Very nice it was too.
I had the peels and cores, so rather than compost them, I cooked them up in some water. Whizzed them with the stick blender, added some mulled wine spices left over from last year. Then strained the mixture. As it was still warm we had it with the meal, delicious spiced apple drink.0 -
