I'm currently avoiding cake making, I've been told off at work for not taking them in last week, I did offer to buy but it seems I can't get away with that  I'm told it's a compliment :). I have brought gluten and dairy free for a colleague as I'm drawing the line there. I had to buy stuff especially the flour as mine had been lurking too long in the cupboard  Any ingredients left will go to my nephew as he's always baking and will save me throwing then away next year :o. I've been instructed to make lemon drizzle as one, not sure on the other yet probably brownies.

So just back from Sainsbobs, due to road closures getting to Mr Ts is not recommended, unfortunately a few extras other than baking ingredients ended up in the basket. I popped into the pet store on the way back as I've vouchers which included something I've been recommended for his lordships joints by a friend and the vet. His food was also on offer so between offers and vouchers I saved £13 and he's fed for a couple of months :D

Lunch was a egg and cheese salad with some HM coleslaw. Dinner will maybe involve chicken just not sure with what yet.

Then popped over DD's with birthday pressies for her twin girls' 15th on Tuesday, had to be done today due to hospital tomorrow
Went via a garden centre cafe in Beaulieu, mid morning cuppa & date slice, very nice and not too busy at the time

More tea & a biscuit or two at DD's for lunch

Into Morries on way home, picked up two YS Ginster pasties, now in freezer for post op standby food

Dinner tonight is use up last of the bacon in a BLT sarnie, maybe top up with choc / cereal if still hungry

All plants watered, some left outside to take their chances while I'm in hospital, no frost forecast at least

I hope to be back here probably Wednesday post op

PS, nice one Brambling on getting the venison

I also grabbed some YS speciality tomatoes that were half price from T's today. Absolutely perfect condition, so will need eating quickly. I'm grazing on them through the day, and will take the last few to work tomorrow.
Chicken's just gone in the oven, so it'll be a late-ish dinner for me. Probably pushing 7:15. Oh well. I'll be good and hungry by then, as long as I can hold off on the tomato grazing for a bit!!

    Good evening everyone,
Farway - I hope all goes well tomorrow <hug>
Seems to have been lots of food buying/eating in CFO land today I'm feeling left out :rotfl:.

I managed to get what I wanted done outdoors and weather permitting can get started with the planting out.:) I'm glad I held off today though as it's turned really cold in the past hour so think the frost forecast for tonight is accurate.
Dinner justs need the veg cooking and it's good to go as I cooked the pollock & sauce earlier . I've not made fish in parsley sauce for ages so looking forward to it. I did look at the "boil in the bag" ones fairly recently but didn't think they were worth the cash for not at lot of fish and I had all the stuff to make my own so no excuse not to really.:)

I don't have any bread, cereal or even crackers in the house!

I've put some potato wedges in the oven to bake and I'm having a banana in the meantime.:)

I used to panic if no bread or crackers in the house but then discovered how quick and easy it was to make flatbread, can use just flour and water but my fave is flour and yoghurt.
