Shame about the fish Firefox I love trying new recipe ideas unfortunately sometimes they don't work that well even if tweaked :o

I didn't know they delivered Farway there's one in town that I've been known to pop in for a free taster :D. Looking at their prices I don't think they are any more expensive than the Wiltshire F@rm ones my neighbour used to have delivered.

Caronc I used to have a little original 'George' which I used a lot until the nonstick started to come off, I replaced it with one with removal plates which I hated as it never got hot enough and boiled the food rather that griddled , I'm sorry to say I dumped it. Even through I have a fixed plate one again I've got out of the habit of using it, maybe time to dust it off as I used to like the way it cook salmon.

Lunch was salmon and egg salad and eaten on the run again between meetings at least eating at my desk is :money: although I miss the walk and fresh air when it's fine

Dinner was really CBA, beans on toast with a fried egg on top, thanks to PN and Farway for putting the idea in my head

PN hoped you enjoyed the curry :)

Unfortunately, not really. I didn't choose the place, I go elsewhere; tried that one before and was disappointed. Was disappointed again.

Been out this morning to L1dl, perchance their weekend 99p cheese. Queued up at door opening times, strolled straight to cheese, couldn't see it. A chap also looking said "looking for cheese?" and I said yes... he started to wander off and I spotted it so called him back. Top shelf box.... struggled to get it down, there were just FOUR packs in there! So we had two each,

Also bought: Crumpets, bread, eggs, spaghetti, sweeties, crisps, mini cheesecakes, margarine, sparkling water (as they still no longer sell ginger beer I'll use that with squash).

Oh b4lls, as I typed that lot I just realised I forgot sausage rolls :)
  • Friend came round last night, we usually do lunch, we ordered a Jamaican meal, 2nd time for me but 1st for friend, She is Slovakian so although willing to try was a bit apprehensive. I explained that rice and peas was not rice and PEAS but she had a go, I ordered goat curry again and she tried it and loved it. She ordered the curry prawns, very nice. As i had bought some chip shop chips to go with hm chilli the day before so thats 2 bought out meals, I will do a fridge style meal tonight.

I had a pitta bread with houmous and sliced cucumber and a cup of tea for breakfast.

I have leftover Quorn curry but don't fancy it two days in a row so I will make pasta instead. I am going to make a cashew cream sauce to go with it and add steamed veggies as well.

Sunny day ahead, after porridge breakfast I potted up some tomatoes into final positions, it would've waited but with operation next week I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it for a bit.
I'm doing same in the front this afternoon, lilies & tuberous begonias, once the sun moves round

Made a fresh batch of yoghurt

    Lunch will be BLT sarnie

Dinner, thinking of salmon fillet, frozen chips + salady bits, kind of use up salad before hospital

    Good afternoon everyone,
Thanks for the website suggestion TomJ, I've book marked it for a look through for ideas:).
Lovely and sunny here though there was a thickish frost first thing. Despite a sluggish start as I had to take dizzy meds in the early hours to curb a developing vertigo attack which always leave me a bit dopey afterwards, I've got a reasonable amount done in the garden. I'm just having a cuppa and a sit down before I get back out there for another short stint. We've more frost forecast tonight and then it's to get warmer, my aim today is to get all of my wall baskets ready for planting so from tomorrow I can start to plant up.
Scotch egg and salad for lunch and something quick and easy from the freezer I think tonight.

Planting all finished, even took a chance & put some geraniums out the front, two overwintered in situ have buds on so fingers crossed. One lily beetle spotted & dispatched

I must wash up the manky cast iron pot before hospital, been in soak forever but it's still not washed itself:o

Salmon fillet salad seems good early choice as sun's still out, I've got time to put a baked spud in but frozen chips are quicker

Have to sort out a book to take in hospital, warned I may be hanging about a bit. I need a book that if it "vanishes" when I'm out cold I'll not be too bothered
