It's easy peasy and no proving needed. Proportionally I use 1 part yoghurt to 1.5 - 2 parts self raising flour. Mix until it comes together then knead gently for a few minutes until it forms a smooth dough. If the dough is too sticky add more flour so start off with the lower amount. It's then ready to use though I find it rolls easier if chilled for 1/2 an hour (longer is fine). You can add herbs, garlic powder etc. to the mix if you want.
Ooh that's brill thanks, i'll give it a go xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Evening
Too nice today to be at workwhich is a bit like ground hog day at the moment, same s**t different day  at least I didn't work on Saturday it seems they didn't finish until midnight, makes a change from me getting the late Saturday
. My cakes went down well, although I'm was told my chocolate and walnut cake were brownies :rotfl: it's seems they were brownie like in the middle and I had only sampled the edge when I trimmed it, I take back everything I said about Mary B
I had 25 minutes to kill whilst waiting to pick up my prescription in Sainsbobs today even through I ordered it a week ago  unfortunately they're the only place in the town I work that my doctors surgery deals with and I find it difficult to get back to my town to pickup from here. Since the pharmacies In Sainsbobs were taken over they have got really bad It doesn't matter how long you give them they don't seem to make it up until you go in to collect, it used to only take two days between asking the dr and collecting it  anyway 25 minutes to kill meant mooching around the shop even through I shopped yesterday  I picked up some YS half price tuna and a pack of two 'white' fish Kiev for £1. Thanks to Caroncs tip about white fish being pollock I checked the label and brought them
Lunch was chicken and egg salad with loads of raw veg and some chargrilled artichokes. Dinner was one of the fish Kiev cooked in the airfryer with runner beans, tender stem broccoli and the last of asparagus. I froze the second Kiev and the tuna just squeezed it in :eek:Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
I'm glad your cakes were well received Brambling, I was sure they would be - you have lucky colleagues.:D
I've never seen fish kievs - sounds like something I would enjoy:).
I realised I had defrosted a chicken breast portion rather than my usual thigh so decided against slow cooking it as I find they just dry out. I'll prep the veg while I'm making my lunch and cook the stew on the stove tonight. Egg mayo bagel & salad for lunch and chicken & chorizo stew tonight.
It's a lovely sunny day out so more planting is on the agenda.:D0 -
I had a toastie for breakfast and I put a pan of vegetable soup on for lunch. There will be leftovers for tomorrow or the following days.:)
I'm just using a bag of frozen mixed veg and frozen mixed peppers with Marigold bouillon, onion powder, garlic, pinch of curry powder and tomato puree. I felt like being lazy today.:D0 -
I have had one complaint re my cakes from a colleague who usually eats 4 slices of my lemon drizzle cake  he's working in Scotland this week and is missing out, I'm ignoring suggestions that I bake again next week  I've told him i'm too frightened that his wife will be on the doorstep as he should be watching his diet following a heart attack a three years ago. But it's nice to be appreciated
Playing catch up at work so no lunchtime walk which is a shame as it looks lovely out there. Lunch was the same as yesterday a large chicken salad with loads of raw veg. Dinner I'm still undecided I looked for some lamb liver in the freezer but couldn't find it, [STRIKE]probably [/STRIKE] maybe because my audit is wrong. I took out some chicken livers but no idea what to do with them yet

I'm disappointed. I'd 'excitedly' treated myself to a full and massive 8-pack of W's C/O crisps last week as I knew that these last few days would be challenging for me, so I needed to get a treat under my belt... well, 8 of them.
Not only were the first seven packets ordinary/untasty - but the final packet is the worst of the lot
I normally try to save W's crisps for a Xmas treat. I think I will try to remember not to bother again, except at Xmas when I get the ketchup ones0 -
Reorganising my paperwork and then my chest of drawers and a load of laundry - all done.
I can't decide whether to go to get the blood tests tomorrow or Thursday. I have to fast before so stop eating or drinking anything by 10 pm so I have to decide tonight.
I had the soup which was quite thin, but tasty. I drank it from a mug instead of a bowl.
I've had a banana, two tangerines and a few pistachios as well.
I think I'm going to have a Quorn hot and spicy burger with lots of veggies and a side salad tonight.not lazy Wednesday us working SMART:D

Good evening everyone,
Brambling I think your absent colleague is, as his Scottish colleagues would say, "chancing his arm":rotfl::rotfl:
How disappointing PN- Walkers used to be really reliable for a tasty crisp though tbh I've no had any of there's for years and I'm not keen on C&O flavour regardless the brand.
Sounds like a productive day Wednesday, it never fails to amaze me how clutter gathers when I'm not looking. My dining room is real tip at the moment though mainly due to it being a half-way house for a fair bit of my Dad's stuff. I'm hoping some of that will go over the next few weeks.
I got loads done outside today (by my standards anyway) and the weather was lovely and really quite hot. I had to change into a loose skirt as my legs were boiling in my yoga pants (note to self must look out and iron my linen shorts).:D
I put the most of stew together while I was waiting for an egg to hard boil for lunch. It's absolutely packed with veg so no excuse not to meet my five a day today. It's simmering gently just now and the chorizo is wafting a lovely mouth-watering smell through the house.:) It's turning much cooler now but I think I'll be fine in a cardi rather than needing to light the stove. It just needs a match putting to it if I decide otherwise later.0 -
Shorts in May Caronc you'll be taking your vest off next  :rotfl:
I'm feeling very guilty as I've kicked the cat, I didn't see him creep up behind me when I went out to the bin and as I had shoes on it was a solid kickHe sat under the table for a while but did eat his treats, he has come up on my knee for ten minutes since so i think I'm forgiven, I'm hoping I imagine a slight limp in the leg he has had problems with as he got off
.

Aw, that is understandable, though. You have had a lot to deal with.xxI'm feeling very guilty as I've kicked the cat, I didn't see him creep up behind me when I went out to the bin and as I had shoes on it was a solid kickHe sat under the table for a while but did eat his treats, he has come up on my knee for ten minutes since so i think I'm forgiven, I'm hoping I imagine a slight limp in the leg he has had problems with as he got off

Since my cat had his thyroid out I have stepped on his tail on the staircase and knocked him out of the way when I got up from my desk.:o:o:o
I think there may be something wrong with his hearing/eyesight actually, I have to ask the vet.
He is being very vocal and that happened to my other cat when she got older.2025 GOALS
