Most of my banking etc. is paperless these days and like you I have pots in various locations. I've typed up a list of my accounts and popped it my file

This is what I need to do, with no paper statements there would be a lot of scrabbling around for someone and I would hate for some to get lost

Typical busy day at work today but I made myself walk lunchtime and enjoy the dry weather after yesterday's rain :). Tomorrow I'm on my own again so I might not get out

Farway is it you who occasionally eats the w*itrose jumbo fish fingers? I haven't brought any for a while I usually only buy if I can find them YS especially after they stopped their 20% off with My W*itrose card but when did they go up to £4.50  I had to double check the label

Lunch was HM chicken noodle soup followed by stewed rhubarb and strawberries. Dinner was a jacket potato with cheese and HM coleslaw and a bit of salad

I've a confession to make :shhh: I have let my freezer audit lapse :eek: I have a rough idea what's in there but there could be some surprises as when squeezing in LO lamb shank and sauce I found some beef short ribs

As a rule of thumb, if you need to keep a list you've probably got too much in there :)

At any one time, if my freezer broke, I could usually replace the entire contents for £5-10.

    Right now I have:
    1 portion of chips
    10 hash browns
    peas
    2x375g packs of beef/pork mince
    1 12-pack of chilli meatballs
    ½ 12-pack of chilli meatballs
    4 sausages
    4 slices of bread
    3 oven bottom muffins
1 portion of spicy parsnip soup
    1 sliced green pepper.
    2 chillies

    :)

    That's about £5s worth.

    Good morning everyone,
A rough idea is better than no idea Brambling:cool:

I think when it comes to freezer usage how much is too much, like CFO, will vary greatly and there is no right or wrong approach IMHO. Personally as I like to bulk buy meat online, batch cook, freeze garden produce and also rely on home SM deliveries, more is great when it comes to freezer stocks :D.
Another day of the sun shining, still chilly though but I aim to get my front garden weedkillered this morning. I'll leave the back slabs just now as I have pooches visiting at the weekend and don't want to risk one of them munching a poisoned weed:eek:. Overnight lots of tom seedingly have poked their heads through and my first courgette has appeared:D:D.
Lunch will be soup again but dinner remains undecided.

    Morning Folks :D

    Still plodding...

This evening, once I have had my batch prepped dinner, I shall be starting off two Homebrew Ale batches. An IPA and a Copper Ale :D Ready to drink in approx. 4 weeks time...

With the changing season I will be prepping more lighter meals like pasta salads and wraps n stuff like that.

All I have had today is water with my thyroid medication and that disgusting herbal crap my Chinese doctor gave me. God, it tastes revolting.:rotfl:

I'm waiting for my Ocado shopping to arrive and then I will have a sandwich. I will have some fruit and then some olives while I am waiting.

Some more of the HM soup for lunch.:)

Glorious, blue, blue, blue, cloudless, sunny skies here on the south coast.

I've made up one of the whips, the butterscotch, three portions, which are now sitting in the fridge.

I defrosted an oven bottom muffin earlier and spread a bit of marg on it.

Might do some spuds/beans/cheese later (still not started that 2nd bag of 2.5kg spuds I bought over 2 weeks ago as I'm still using the previous bag). Weather turned, so there was less spud eating going on.

    Porridge breakfast

Into town today, odds & ends, plus a freebie £1 pud from Iceland for my birthday, I chose custard slices:j And hot X buns on offer, bought my annual pack, 50p, high living here at Farway Towers

Into W/rose, Heck posh bangers on offer, 2.50, pack of those, plus impulse buy of YS posh chipolatas, fancied a toad in hole today once I saw them

Yes, it's me, but like you have to be on offer, my buys were with the card 20% offer, made them a reasonable price, at full price I expect I could go down the docks & hire a trawler for less:D

Lunch was last of the bacon in a sarnie

Dinner, hope to be toad in hole but could change if CBA arrives

Sowed some French beans, in pots. My outside sowing of beetroot is peeking through, cherry & pear are covered in blossom, fingers crossed for them. All looking good so far

I had never tasted that until i was at uni in the Midlands. I didn't even know it was a thing.:p Some people I knew used to get it with gravy too.

I didn't ever get the gravy one as I was vegetarian even back then.
