Farway The 'healthy' ingredient was an abundance of linseed, I think it was made using linseed oil and was definitely lacking in anything sweet
. At least not eating it was kinder to my waistline :rotfl:
I was the only member of my team in the office today, the boss is in India and the others off, at least it made the day go really fast. Although it meant I didn't have time to go up to town to get my new glasses sorted so they are still rubbing behind one ear
. it's my turn to be off tomorrow, it's the school holiday so I'm spending the day with my sister, our plans had to change so not sure what we'll do especially as it's forecast to rain but we will think of something
Lunch was HM chicken noodle and vegetable soup and dinner due to bad planning was chicken again, the tray bake I made yesterday with pasta. So a easy cooking day of just reheating stuff:)Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
I really didn't want to get up this morning but managed to get my act together and be presentable for the lawyer visiting. Visit went well and hopefully all will be straightforward from now. He identified a couple of other things that I can do rather than them to save legal fees so have added them to my "to do"!
Having got all my Dad's paperwork in good order my task for today is to the same for my own stuff so that should they need to my kids don't have a massive job to do. Thankfully mine is reasonably organised so shouldn't take as long to get through:cool:.
Leek & tattie soup and a sarnie for lunch. I was going to make curry or spag bol for tonight but as I have the dentist tomorrow morning I've decided not too as I don't want to be reeking of garlic when I go. Might have bangers instead:).0 -
I had some leftover harissa roasted chickpeas so I just put some in a mini baguette sandwich with some mayo and lettuce. Lovely!:A
I have the last of the homemade roasted tomato and basil soup for lunch with another mini baguette. I love fresh basil.0 -
That sounds like a lovely lunch Wednesday:)0

Damn & bu66er, Reading through I've just realised I forgot to look for own band instant whip in L's this morning:(
And they've run out of cheapo oats, I suspected something was up last Friday, looked low stock then, I helped at the time by taking a bag, just in case;)
Lunch was bacon, lettuce & tom sarnie.
Using the posh bacon I bought on Sunday. It was dear but well worth it, no gunge, smells tastes & cooks like bacon did before the chemists got their paws on it
I think dinner will be in Wednesday'sfootsteps, beans on toast, maybe add grated cheese + fried eggs
I've had too much rich food really, make a change, back to earth
Caron I was being spoilt because it was my umpety umph birthday:beer: the kids know there's no point in buying me "things" I don't need or want, cake & chocs however are more welcome than socks, books or jumpers:D
Nice on the leek & tattie soup, as said the other week, so easy & yet so satisfyingFarway The 'healthy' ingredient was an abundance of linseed, I think it was made using linseed oil and was definitely lacking in anything sweet. At least not eating it was kinder to my waistline :rotfl:

Usual porridge for brekkie and then when in Asd.. and coming up for lunch, had a cooked herby chicken breast in a bun from deli and ate on the way round (packet put through checkout). Thought it was better than waiting until I got home as had a hypo last night - do not know why had had porridge, pasta and the some potatoes during day. When I got home I had bag of crisps and 2 YS cream horns so now have no idea what to have tonight, maybe fish finger sarnies.0

Good evening everyone,
Belated Happy umpety umph birthday Farway :bdaycake:- yeah consumables get my vote these says too:D
Some of my tomato seeds have germinated they weren't showing this morning but the sunshine must have nudged them along:D:D.
This afternoon I had a bit of a gentle potter outdoor,s although the sun was shining it was on the chilly side but I got some tidying done. Didn't get as far as sowing anything as I need to make some space in the conservatory for more trays. I must start hardening off my violas to make some room. Three rather confused bees (separately) flew in and couldn't find their way back out so spent ages persuading them into a glass so they could be liberated. One almost flew straight back in:eek: but I managed to divert it just in time.
I made a start on my paperwork but between pottering and getting side-tracked browsing through a box of old photos didn't get it finished. On the grounds that "out sight, out of mind" is something I'm definitely guilty of I've left it sitting on the sofa and it's not going back in cupboard until it's all properly reorganised! As I have visitors on Sunday that gives me a deadline.:rotfl::rotfl:
I thought I still had some mash in the freezer but have appear to have used it up, I still fancy bangers though so it will either be a baked spud or croquettes with them. Mind you I have waffles & oven chips but I fancy gravy and I prefer those with beans. I don't want to open a tin as I have lunches sorted for a couple of days and the LO beans will just need using up. Lunch was big mug of leek & tattie soup with some toast & salmon philly cheese, as is usually the case the soup was better today having had a chance to mature in the fridge:).0 -

Popped in on my way out - picked up two 12-packs of chilli meatballs (£1.37/pack from memory - both 30% off YS).
Then off to track down the Whip.... all three flavours present, so I bought two butterscotch and two chocolateThey are 29p per packet.
Didn't make any up today - I've got milk (BBE 14th I think), I'll most likely do it tomorrow.
Today I've eaten the last two chocolates, four squares of chocolate bar and the last 2 chocolate oat biscuits.
For tea I cooked chips and frozen peas - and six (yes, six!) of the chilli meatballs.... on reflection, six was WAY too many ....
The remaining 18 meatballs are in the freezer.0
