I'm down another pound, seems like I'm losing about 2 pounds each week. I used to lose weight much faster. I guess that is the price of being middle aged now.:D
I've had a banana and two crumpets with jam.
I'm getting my hair cut and then will go out for a walk.Have just had a Linda Mac sausage butty , with HP sauce for tea.I can only eat them when the sausages have gone cold :rotfl:
Ooh yummy!:)0 -
PN, I don't have Chinese take aways so old tubs are non existent
I know you like tidy, but I can't see me putting the chips in neat rows. I'll go by eye and shake / pat them down, although I have digital scale if I CBA to weigh into portions, which I know I really should
I have few - and, unfortunately, the Chinese takeaway that I got these two "perfect sized" smaller containers for uses them for rice and noodle side dishes - but they're rubbish at rice and noodle side dishes so I'd already decided that my next Chinese would just be the chicken/sauce and I'd make my own sides.... but I might ask them if they'd flog me, say, 10 of their smaller containers next time. As a rule, I probably have 2-3 takeaways a years. I like them, but they are pricey and it's a hassle to have to go out and collect them (I'm too lazy), so it's a combination of fancying one, feeling "justified" at spending so much ... and whether I CBA to go out now/in this weather/in the dark/at this time/etc.
For the chips I'd not lay them out singly.... side by side like soldiers. I figure if one were to have six tubs out and a bag of chips in hand... it should be possible to shake the bag over them, going by eye... then a quick "jiggle" of the containers before adjusting a dozen chips or so by eye/hand so the containers contain about the same.0 -
Copying Candygirl I just popped into Co-op to look for LindaMc sausages and HP sauce.:p
They only had one box of the sausages and they were open!
I went to another shop and bought some potato waffles and mini veggie spring rolls as by that point I was getting hungry.:D
I'm going to have two waffles in two white rolls with the HP sauce.2025 GOALS

Brambling, that bloke was a bargain, very handy to know of one
CandyG, mine used to overflow, it's easily fixed but not if you are unable, like me, to climb into loft anymore.
That was one reason I no longer have any water up there when I changed my old boiled
Breakfast of porridge
Then out to shops, lots of bits & bobs stuff, nothing exciting, did find YS two pack of C & O pasties & YS bag of spuds
Dinner was one of the C & O pasties
My pannage pork joint is in the oven now, going for full on roast today, complete with stuffing & Yorkies [frozen ones].

The shake them out method was how I intended doing it, once I've eyeballed portion sizesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
FARWAY I can't climb into the loft either :rotfl:
WEDNESDAY grrr 're the open box:mad: I usually get mine from Farmfoods when they're on offer, love the saus rolls too, cold of course. They're too meat smelling for when warm
No idea what's for tea yet tonight"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

There's nothing worse than wanting something and finding only ONE in the display cabinet, that's open or split and spilling... it's worse than if they'd had none.
Earlier today I made a boiled egg, then I made up two rounds of tomato sandwiches and one round of egg/saladcream/tomato ... wrapped them in foil and popped them in the fridge thinking "If I CBA to cook later, they'll do". Already got through the lotAND four chocolate biscuits.

Good evening everyone,
I'll get a proper read back once I'm back to CFO.
Just popping in to say "hi" before my younger son returns, my elder son and his fiancee had to fly back today:( but the younger one is home until Sunday.:)
My Dad's funeral went really well and after the "tea" was over we came back here, the sun decided to shine and we all sat in the garden for a bit.:)
Yesterday I hate far too many carbs & stodge so lunch was a healthy salad wrap with carrot sticks and tonight we are having HM soup and salady bits.
Tomorrow it's making the most of folk being about to get some of my Dad's stuff off to various charity shops I suspect dinner tomorrow may well be fish & chips or similiar. I'll need to get back to healthier eating come Sunday come what may;).0 -
Glad the funeral went well Caronc
.
I'm another one who doesn't go into the loft I've been banned by my nephews as I have a bad track record with steps and ladders I tend to forget I'm on them and step back  in my defence there was only one A&E visit for a broken rib, I dealt with the head wound myself, it looked worst than it was as they do bleed a lot  I just stick to changing light bulbs and fire alarm batteries if I can't find a willing volunteer.
I brought a YS extra large cauliflower in Sainsbobs last night 20p instead of £1.80 I only went in for milk. Half a cauliflower anyone? Also a couple of nets of easy peelers for 10p each. I was surprised as it was only 6.30pm.
Hope you enjoyed your pork Farway I'm determined to eat the contents of my freezer so avoided a half leg of lamb in M&S lunchtime not YS but they have a third off their lamb and beef for Mother's Day I was tempted as a half leg isn't too many meals when CFO but just walked through their food hall without spending
Lunch was HM duck and noodles soup and dinner was a LO meal I used up LO new potatoes and runner beans with a qtr of lurking onion to make a omelette (eggs a week OOD) finished with a small piece of blue cheese and served with the last of a bag of spinach and some beetroot.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I've had a banana and then vegan cheese and crackers. I haven't had that in a while but I just had a craving.2025 GOALS

Seems I'm first one up this morning:)
Lovely sunny & warm day, nearly left my woolly hat off this morning
Into L's, milk was main hunt, found that, plus leeks are on offer, remembering last time and advice on here, I now own a pack of 3:o leeks:D
Also best Angus diced steak, YS at 90p, just had to buy it at that price for my freezer stache
Lunch was the LO C & O pasty from yesterday
Dinner is a YS beef & ale pie from Thursday mooch, I'll have that with HM skin on chips & LO beansHope you enjoyed your pork Farway I'm determined to eat the contents of my freezer so avoided a half leg of lamb in M&S lunchtime not YS but they have a third off their lamb and beef for Mother's Day I was tempted as a half leg isn't too many meals when CFO but just walked through their food hall without spending
That pork was superb, it's New Forest pannage and not cheap but it tastes gorgeous https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pannage
I've plenty left so thinking maybe a cold meat salad tomorrow
Some of the leeks hopefully will go in a leek & spud soup over the next few daysEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
