I had a stir fry for breakfast as I woke up hungry.Wednesday seeing you're eating bread and pizza I'm hoping that means your blood tests came back good
Yes, they said the coeliac test was negative. I have to go back and get my thyroid tested and my B12 again, though.
Thanks for asking.xx0 -
Am making big effort to eat from freezer this coming week. Cook so many portions to go in freezers so will have to get some of them out.0

Nice to have you back Caron after your sad loss
Brambling Nice to know the vinegar is over rated. Your thoughts on gammon joint were same as mine, except I did pick it up:)
Bit of a shock this morning, I was convinced it was Monday, check of the radio controlled clocks, and news on R4 confirmed it was Sunday, brain must have slipped a cog when I went to loo during the night, or it's Groundhog Day, again
Porridge breakfast, back to sliced banana in it
Sunny but blowing a bit, popped out for milk to Morries, nothing YS of consequence for me to be tempted, and I left the doughnuts on the shelf today:j
Spot of mini gardening, planted out my "new" rhubarb and righted the garden waste wheelie bin that had developed a list in the wind
Lunch, PB baguette, with ham & salad filling
Dinner, repeat of ham, eggs chips & more grilled wrinkly toms
This weeks toms from L's turned out rubbish, looked fine in the shop. I think I'll have to start picking my own for a bit at the g/grocer, he has nice ones but not cheap, but I don't eat many so probably worth it rather than chucking the manky ones from L awayI got a very small beef joint in a meat delivery so plan to cook that in the pressure king pro later with onions, carrots and a little red wine with roast potatoes cooked in the actifry so they are lower fat. I also want to use up a couple of burgers but don't have any buns so will have them with some veg or pickles.
Remembered I just bought a small loaf yesterday and also have a couple of slices of the old loaf to use up so it looks like breakfast is toast and coffee. I get a bit tired of either using things up or freezing things so eventually plan to get back to baking my own bread which means I can choose the size, it is more filling and I know what is in it.
I've not tried roast spuds in my Actifry, maybe I will give that a try
And I'm thinking of returning to baking my own bread, especially after the other week's great cheese & tom one [from a mix]

I did a late shopping expedition, first to L1dl then 4ldi.
L1dl: chips, sausage rolls, spaghetti and fruit pastille sweeties.
4ldi: fish in breadcrumbs*, chocolate biscuits, 4-pack of beans, mushy peas.
*I spotted a pack of four breaded bits of fish (pollock) with a half price sticker on, so thought I'd do fish/chips/mushy peas... which is now nearly cooked for my meal today
Fish 30p (150g), chips 15p, mushy peas 8p = 53p + vinegar/ketchup
I'll have that again tomorrow as I've wrapped one piece of fish in foil in the fridge and wrapped the other two and popped them into the freezer.0 -
Evening
Great news about the coeliac test Wednesday, one more thing they can tick off the list
Nothing exciting done today, cleaned downstairs and the bathroom and then shut the bedroom doors so I couldn't see them. I have a pile of paperwork I may go through whilst watching TV I can take it into work tomorrow and use the bigger office shredder.
Some cooking done this afternoon which will do lunches for a few days.
Lunch was a small portion of Marconi cheese using up some LO cheese sauce. Dinner was roasted chicken leg, with Boulangere potato and celeriac, runner beans, tender stem broccoli, stir fry kale, roasted fennel and chicory as you can tell I went through my veg containersplenty of LO veg for the next few days as well. I'm now putting off tidying the kitchen again  I think the dishes are breeding

Bit of a disturbed night's sleep for unknown reason, good job I no longer have to go to work so can slump about today, no need to go out today, plus I've a package due, which has left it's depot and should fit in the letterbox but you never know with these things, vastly over packaged at times
Breakfast, porridge
Lunch, sarnie with ham & I think mustard having bought some in Morries yesterday
Dinner ham , eggs, chips, maybe last of the wrinkly toms, grilled
That should also be the last of the ham joint I bought on Thursday, just over £12, four day's meals, plus [STRIKE]bits that fell into my gob[/STRIKE] tasters, seems fair value to me at around £3 a dayEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
^I couldn't sleep last night either. Annoying.
I've had a smoothie and some yoghurt today.
I've just had a filling so I have to wait to eat my lunch. I'm having Quorn nuggets with a big salad and some fresh bread from Co-op again!
I can't walk past that place without buying bread.:p2025 GOALS

My expected package did plop through letterbox without problem, obvs because I was at home
Lunch sarnie was eaten in the sun warmed conservatory, at lunchtime it was over 70 in there, that's both temperature & occupant:D

You and me both. I used to use L's bread but prefer Co-op, and it is opposite where I volunteer
I'm still "looking" on going back to baking my own, even if I used a bread mix it works out cheaper than buying a loaf, the type I prefer anyway, I know a loaf can be bought for under 40p but not for my taste buds
Ham may last a bit longer than tonight's dinner, more left than I thought, could even make lunchtime tomorrow, or if CBA could become pie / flan of some sortEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Hi everyone
The tiny beef joint in the fridge which has been reproaching me for days turns out to be pork! It is now in the pressure king pro with veg stock, chopped tomatoes, onions, carrots, peas, diced potato and butter beans with seasoning and some lazy garlic. I have the bad habit of adding too much water so might need to add some cornflour in a paste later. The last time I added to much water to a dish I ended up having some of the liquid as a soup which was better than wasting it and actually was quite tasty. I make that four portions of veg which is a bit healthier than brunch which was a bacon and egg sarnie. There should be enough for tonight and also tomorrow and I hope I will not be eating it for days on end."This site is addictive!"

Good evening everyone,
Back to CFO until next week when the family comes back for the funeral but as you can imagine cooking isn't a huge priority at the moment.
Still very numb & shocked but thankful that my Dad passed peacefully in his sleep and it looked as though he hadn't suffered any pain or distress which I think is what most people would want for themselves.
Still so much to do so likely to be a sporadic poster for now.
Proper CFO cba dinner tonight of ham, egg, ovens chips, mushrooms & tomatoes.
Thanks again for all of your kind messages xx0
