    Morning

Just to let you know I received a PM from Caronc this morning asking me to pass on that her Dad had sadly died peacefully in his sleep. She will be absence for a while whilst she deals with things and will be back posting when she can

I had some soya yoghurt for breakfast. It wasn't very filling so I just had baked beans on toast with some Marmite as well.:)

I have a bowl of that carrot soup for later.

Yesterday I had a craving for a salad I used to make, chopped apples, celery and peanuts in mayo. I don't know if that sounds like a weird combo.:rotfl:

That salad sounds lush. Jamie Oliver made a radish, n spring onion one last night, looked delish .I Love all kinds of salads :D
Not sure what's for tea tonight.Might do egg , chips n beans , not had it for yonks:p

Just seen the Caron dad post, very sad news and totally unexpected. If you reply Brambling please pass on my condolences

Breakfast was usual porridge, with lashings of tea & water in prep for blood test hunt the vein

No problem today, then on my way to town

Slim pickings on YS front, the only bit was a YS gammon joint in W/rose, a big one but fits with my decent meat policy
And the Cornish sea salt, no sign of smoked version in my branch

The total in W/rose was over a tenner, so grabbed a "free paper", only to find Express is not one of the free ones, changed it for Times. Express is 60p, Times £1.80. No wonder JL group profits are down with those sort of deals

Lunch was cheese & salady sarnie

Dinner, longing for fish, so it's jumbo F Fingers, HM skin on chips, couple of grilled wrinkly toms, with sprinkle of Cornish SS to try out
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens

    Evening all

I'm sure Caronc will appreciate all the condolences from our little CFO community :)

Farway did the Cornish salt improved the chips? Do I need to go out and buy some to go with my golden malt vinegar :D.

The car survived its service and MOT, the whimpering you can now hear is my credit card, luckily just one new tyre :( they were suppose to deal with a recall with my airbag at the same time but had run out of the part  so it will need to go back which is a pain as they want it all day. I enjoyed driving the new loan car through, but not enough to buy one :)

Lunch today was the last of the chicken soup. Dinner was some YS aubergine stuffed arancini balls from w*itrose, I think they forgot to add the aubergine and just added double garlic  even I found it too much Farway I had them with and some YS stir fry green veg. Whilst they were cooking I made some mini crustless quiches (baked omelettes) with roast peppers, mushrooms, spring onion and cheese, tested one just now just to confirm they were ok :D and I'll have some with salad for lunch tomorrow

    Blimey, are you me?

I had a service/MoT yesterday... it passed, but there was a nail in the tyre, so I'd expected to need a new tyre but the specialist tyre company did a repair on it instead (didn't expect that! I'd expected them to just fit a new one).

I pre-paid three years of service/MoT last year, so I only had to spend £20 on the tyre fix (not £55 for a new one).

Now you can look up MoTs online, and all the history, I can see I've done 1800 miles since my last MoT.
