I had chickpeas roasted with some Fry Light spray and some chilli salt for breakfast.

I'm making a Quorn, red lentil and chickpea curry for lunch. No rice but I will add the last of the soya yoghurt to it.:)

Wrestled with the super king and manged to change the duvet etc. Is it just me or is there always an edge that does not have the duvet stuffed inside properly?

I always get my hubbie to do it. I find it difficult to get the fitted sheet on one side too, annoying!:rotfl:

I have no food. I am hungry.
    It's cold/damp, I don't want to go out.

    :(

I did dig around in the freezer earlier and nuked some soup I'd made/frozen a couple of months ago (spicy parsnip I think)... I only made it to use up lurking veg else they'd have had to be tossed ... and, having made it, I didn't fancy it so froze it. But, as I'm emptying the freezer, that's almost all that's in there!

Now cold & damp has arrived from PN, was sunny at first, your turn next Brambling

It was L's mooch this morning, nothing I really needed but came across the 20p YS mark downs, radishes, not had them for yonks, and ready washed "Italian" salad leaves [AKA peppery] part of tonight's dinner sorted for 40p

And Wagon Wheels with 2 extra seem to have fallen into trolley;)

Lunch was bacon, tom & some of the 20p leaves in a sarnie

Dinner will be LO cold pork, chips, & salad bits including some of the 20p stuff

No stuffing, last night's LO had to be binned:(
It was fine and I had some when hot, but later as I was reaching into a cupboard a jar fell out & smashed a mug, which may have sprinkled shards in the cooked stuffing:eek:

With my eyes I couldn't risk scoffing china shards so in the bin it had to go
On the plus side the mug had not been washed, and it was a YS @50p plus the stuffing was Smartprice as well so not a major cause of concern

I've told you before guys please don't feel you have to share all the weather, the sunshine yes, the wind and rain you can keep down there :D if you want to pass anything up Farway chuck up a wagon wheel :p

Have a good weekend with your son Caronc :)

Definitely glad it's Friday, although I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, there was some persuasion from his lordship to get up and feed him, G&T is going down nicely I'll try not to slur my words :rotfl:

I went to bed early last night but unfortunately sleep still didn't come but in doing so I forgot to sort lunch out for today  i ended up with blue cheese, crackers and a pear. Dinner was salmon en croute originally YS from the fish counter in W*itrose with LO runner beans and broccoli.

I picked up a couple of ox cheeks YS from the meat counter today, I only wanted the one as that will make four portions of ragu In the pressure cooker but the guy made me an offer I couldn't refuse to take the last two, less than half price :D they will probably go into the freezer uncooked as I also picked up a YS small chicken which will still give me several meals and soup for next week.

    Porridge as usual breakfast

Lunch to be last of the YS bacon, with YS salad leaves etc sarnie
I'll start washing the prewashed salad stuff from now on, I watched TV programme, with yuk about salmonella growing in the prewashed salad
Better playing safe etc with my recent tum problems

Dinner, back to cold LO pork, with chips & salad

It feels really cold and windy here and has been raining heavily. Had tea and toast for a late breakfast as I got up early to remove stuff from the conservatory as roof insulation was supposed to be done today. No sign of anyone and got a phone call around ten to reschedule to Monday afternoon which was the original date anyway.

Going to wrap up warm and treat myself to fish and chips for lunch. Middle dd came round last night to pick up a parcel and mentioned she and fiance had tried making bone broth and it did not get the texture they wanted and asked if my pressure king pro did a better job so I sent her home with the chicken and veg broth I had cooked the day before to see what she thought.

DDs are all busy with friend's christenings etc this weekend so I don't have to plan any family meals and have arranged to meet a dd tomorrow in York to watch the latest Marvel film. Planning a beef and veg stew for tonight or tomorrow and might go wild and make dumplings as well.

I must get round to emptying and defrosting one of the two small freezers as I have a meat delivery arriving on Tuesday and want to freeze most of it. I find if family come round for a meal having ready made pastry that I can make a pastry lid for chicken and mushrooms, beef and ale, or just "stew" makes a tasty family meal without having to go and shop specially unless it is fresh veg.

I am going to wrap up warm to brave the shops although they are only five minutes walk away it looks bleak out there.

    Good afternoon everyone,

The weather is absolutely foul here and we have a warning for snow later!
My son has had to head out to get socks as he forgot to pack any and depending on the weather he might take me to the library when he gets back.
Katsu curry worked well last night but I've no idea what to make for dinner tonight something filling I think as I missed breakfast and just had a cheese salad sarnie for lunch.

Dry but blowy here, I spent the morning (well some of it) tidying the garden until the gardening bin was full and I was wind swept and wheezy. Unfortunately the garden doesn't show the effort :o I'm working myself up to pruning the euphorbia but I come up in a rash just by looking at them  it seems that it's not just the sap that I'm allergic to :(.

Now I'm looking at the housework, just looking:rotfl:

I had to use four eggs up which were a little OOD and just passing the float test, I boiled them and made scotch eggs with the last two sausages from the freezer with two of them the other two will be lunch of some kind tomorrow. So lunch was scotch eggs and dinner will be roast chicken I not sure if as a roast dinner or with chips it will probably be a roast but depends how cba I feel later :)
