It's so windy here, I could hardly get the brush through my hair when I got in! Lots of bins down in the streets.

I'm making roasted chickpeas again today. I'm going to have berries and yoghurt when the shopping arrives.

Diced beef out & defrosting for tomorrow's whatever thingy
I've plenty of veg to bung in it, limpish celery etc

Elona, I like the ready made pastry to hand for pie lids idea, nicked, thanks;) Just wish I had some around, pie would go down nicely today but salad it must be now

Wednesday Cornish sea salt, hmm, set me thinking. I use salt, both the Adsa comes out of salt mines stuff & posh crystal stuff
I could just find a tub of CSS in my basket next W/rose visit, bet it goes well with chips, like snow capped taste bombs:D

There is a hairy dieters recipe for potato pastry which is some mashed potato, a little butter rubbed in and then flour added. I use it if I don't have ready made pastry and it works quite well but is a begger to roll out and lift so I cut it into squares and lift it a small bit at a time and smoosh it together.

I decided to have my roast chicken just with veg and gravy as I didn't fancy potatoes either roasted or chips:) I stuffed the chicken with fresh herbs, onion and garlic and had mashed swede and carrot, runner beans and broccoli :)

I've cooked some apple, plums and blackberries and it's just crying out for some crumble topping but I'm trying to be good and did resist making it and popping it in the oven whilst it was on. There's always tomorrow if I become weak willed :p

PN, lob the milk this way, I'm a bit low on it

Up early, don't think it was the rain & wind that woke me, any way up and about in the dark before dawn

    Porridge breakfast again

Trying to decide what to do with the LO roast pork. I'm getting fed up with it now, I may have a couple of slices in a sarnie for lunch & the rest can go in freezer for "another day"

As mentioned, blowing a hooley at the moment, but bright blue sky now rain has stopped
I may pop out to Morries, milk top up, plus suet for dumplings and maybe a cheapo swede if I spot one, for the upcoming beef casserole

Spotted a large dog fox in the back garden,he looked in good condition. Nothing for him in my garden, he leapt the fence, and ambled in a few of the neighbours gardens before he dawdled off. Camera was not to hand, as usual

Crumpets and jam for breakfast, chickpea salad sandwich for lunch and then lentil ragu with pasta for dinner.

You'll have to collect it .... still over half a pint left.

    I just ate .... a gorgeous hot lunch :)

I made a giant Yorkie and then I made an onion gravy and sausages, added some peas, made mash. Big yorkie filled with lusciousness. :)

I've just knocked up a pack of chocolate angel delight, potted up into three portions and in the fridge.... nearly through this pint, just a tiny bit left... few spoons of it really. Might have to dig out my recipes that only use 2 spoons of milk :)

Back from Morries, lunch was a couple of slices of the cold pork, with last of the YS leaves sarnie

Found on offer swedes in Morries, 50p, I don't use swede as side veg so this one will last until Christmas, or go mouldy
Plus milk & suet bought, and somehow a pack of jam doughnuts, YS sausage rolls & 2 YS cottage pies [50p each, stable to table recipe;)]

    Doughnuts opened & sampled:o, pies in freezer:money:

Made the beef casserole jobby, finally cleared out & used the last of my 2017 HG cherry toms from freezer.
Casserole now in the oven on low gas & smelling delish. Dumplings will be added later
