Morning all!
I'm having a work from home morning, then into work for about 12:30. I'm actually working on a presentation I have to give for a uni thing next Wednesday. I'm just starting to worry about it a bit (although I know it'll be fine!), so I lied to my agency and told them I had an opticians appointment this morning. Just so I could have a few bonus hours at home to work on it.
I could have worked on it this evening, that is true. But I have 2 hours of tutoring, that won't get me home until nearly 7:30, and my body is currently working hard to try and keep a cold at bay! I can feel it brewing, I'm a bit snuffly and achy, but I'll medicate up before going to work, and I'll power on, as we all do!
I've just done an hour and a half of focused work, and now just taking a quick break before back to it. I'll probably stop at 11 and think about what to do for lunch!
I'll be doing a ready meal for my main meal today... I'd bought it, intending to eat it on Friday, which is usually my busy night for tutoring. Only to forget I've only got one tutoring session, and then I'm off out for a curry with the girl friends! Never mind.Because it's fun to have money!

I'm having those Slimming World syn chips for breakfast.:rotfl:
I am going to have beans and corn, salad and salsa in tortilla wraps when I get home from reflexology.0 -
Feeling cold here today, had the porridge breakfast again.
I'll have oat poisoning soon, scoffed late bowl of muesli last night, with a sliced banana on top, at least it was a healthier option than a jam sarnie:o
Tonight's rump steak is now in it's marinade bath for a few hours, I'll give it a turn later
Lunch, now I fancy a FF sarnie, but none in the house and tin of sardines just doesn't have the same appeal:(
Looking like yet another cheese & salad sarnie lunchtime, boring, but that's CFO meals sometimes, loads of things I cook rustle up but CBA
Decided tonight's chips will be frozen ones not HM. I'll save the proper spuds in case I go full roast this weekendEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Another cold & wet day here.
I've admin stuff to do today for my Dad -I hope it will be quite straightforward.......
Hardboiled egg & tomato roll and a mug of soup for lunch. Gammon steak & pineapple, sweet potato and veg for dinner.0 -
Update, steak out to get to ambient before frying, mushrooms likewise, there are more than I thought but not enough to keep some back, usual CFO problem, too many for one meal, not enough for twoEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Good evening everyone,
Yum spoiled for choice in yummy beef dinners in CFO-land tonight.
No beef here though still a steak- a gammon one:).
I think that my Dad is now (finally) on the best deals he can be for his various outgoings, I just need to keep an eye that he doesn't fall back into auto-renewing everything. He was paying the guts of £80 for anti-virus:eek::eek::eek: and I've cancelled various warranties for things that he had got suckered into and just let run & run....0 -
Evening all, I hope you've all had a good day
I'm ashamed to admit my beef casserole and veg ended up in the binI just didn't fancy it and because it had been defrosting on the side all day I couldn't put it in the fridge for tomorrow
I've got the blahs today, work is manic and I haven't slept well the last few nights, it will pass but I'm currently tired and grumpy so you might want to duck.
I was able to appease my [STRIKE]nosiness[/STRIKE] curiosity as next door has finally appeared on the EA website. the price was more than I thought considering how much needs doing, it's mentions the large garden suitable for extending so that could be why and we are in the attachment area for three good schools. I see noise in the future but I can't complain as I did a lot to mine over the early years when I moved in
I worked though lunch today to try and get on top of things, I like to get away from my desk but with another afternoon of testing it was less stressful to work it. I've told my manager I can't help with the testing tomorrow afternoon or I'll miss a deadline for his manager which takes priority, I have until 10pm to finish it but have no intention working that late  I'll be glad when it's Friday evening and have tonic in the fridge waiting for the gin
Today's lunch was the HM chicken noodle soup, definitely one to make again. Dinner rather than the heathlier beef casserole and veg was a fish finger sandwich (I blame WHMF :rotfl:) I did add salad leavesit could have been worst I detoured via the chippy earlier and talked myself out of it and came home via T Express for the fish fingers and bread roll
