More sunshine, usual porridge, into town, I blame PN, found misfit choc caramel fingers in HBs:o Rest was normal shopping, no YS to report today:(

Lunch, Black Forest ham & salady stuff sarnie

Dinner decided due to lack of YS inspiration in town, must be salad, I've put last of casserole in freezer for another day, no cold lamb lurking around here Caron so it'll have to boring boiled egg salad, with HM Actifried chips with skin on

OOH, all this cake talk, bit late, I made a fruit loaf when I returned from the shops, just fancied one, and now I have one, looks lovely but not yet tried it

Thanks uncannyScot, I can see a Smiddy Dumpling appearing near the South Downs some time soon.

Today I had 2 sausage rolls for lunch and some fruit pastilles.

Then I made four little biscuits. Didn't intend to eat them all, they were supposed to last until well into the evening at least... but I scoffed the lot within 30 minutes.

None here too now as I froze the rest with gravy yesterday, lunch was a boring cheese salad today.
I think my teeth are now going to hurt every time I eat/drink anything for the rest of my life. Top and bottom too :(

At first I thought it might settle down after a day or so, but it's been two days now and it still "nags" almost constantly.

Ouch PN - might be worth phoning the dentist to see if they can recommend anything to settle it <<hug>>

    Good evening everyone,

I mustered my oomph to chop veg & spuds and do some laundry and that was as far as it went today. I'm trying to ignore the fact that dust is mounting and the floors need mopping:cool:.
It was a lovely, sunny afternoon but definitely a few degrees cooler than yesterday. It's to drop to near freezing quite quickly tonight and when I looked out a short while ago you can't see the bottom of my garden for mist.
My lovely neighbours have sorted out someone to replace our front fence this weekend, it's been on it's last legs for a couple of years and died completely in the last storm. I just need to pay my share without the hassle of organising quotes so I'm delighted.:)
Corned beef stew is simmering away, it could do with thickening up a bit so more soupy than stew tonight but it will thicken up as it cools. It is a real bung it in from the veg drawer and I should get at least 4 decent bowfuls from it. I reckon the whole pot cost under £3 in ingredients plus cooking costs which is pretty decent as it's a complete meal per portion and it will stock up my HM ready meal freezer supply.

I had a sweet potato, red pepper and a courgette needed using up so I've made a veg and chickpea korma style curry, I experimented for a while until I got the spice mix as I like it :) now a fave meal, enough for 2 so it will be the same tomorrow night but that's CFO :D

    Evening :)

PN I agree with Caronc, call your dentist if you're still in pain tomorrow, see if you can get an emergency appointment, they wouldn't expect you to put up with pain, some times dental work can aggravate nerves :(

How annoying Wednesday you've had your original bloods done ages ago, I can't believe how much they are mucking you about :(

Thanks for the recipes Uncannyscot I think I may give the stovies a miss but I will try the smiddy dumpling :)

Another sunny day, I made the most of my lunchtime walk as it's forecast to rain for the next few days.

Lunch should have been soup but I didn't fancy it, I unearthed a small quiche from the freezer and had with salad for lunch. Dinner was jerk chicken and dirty rice from the freezer with LO runner beans.

All change weather wise, dull & wet

Porridge as usual, then had to go out & collect parcel, my loose tea arrived yesterday but I was out, the PO sorting office is only a couple of miles away, and near town anyway

Popped into HBs again. more compost, and more misshapes biscuits + chocs:o
Paid for by filling up with diesel at 7p litre less in Sainsbugs than nearby garage;)

Lunch is last of the Black Forest ham + salad sarnie

Dinner, pork chop is out to defrost, no idea what I'm having with it yet, full on roast or CBA chips & salad?

I picked up a tin of beans/sausages from the cupboard and thought "that's lunch nailed" .... and put it on the worktop so I didn't forget.

Went in to make lunch and picked up the loaf bag, which has 4-5 slices and 2 crusts in it ... I was kind of seeing how long a loaf lasts before it goes off and this one's dated 22 February. Took two slices out and spotted the green .... *sighs* ... OK, well at least I know.

I had a single crust in the freezer, so defrosted that and had the beans/sausages on a bit of toast.

    Good afternoon everyone,

Yesterday evening's mist persisted overnight and while it has lifted now it's a grey and chilly day.
Still wonky but made myself give the bathroom a quick going over, I don't mind the house being dusty but I hate a grubby loo!
My Dad's fuel fix ends soon so need to see what I can sort out for him. He point blank refuses to shift suppliers so it will be a limited choice and won't take long. Apart from that it's "pay day" for me so bills to pay/check and my budgets to up date.
Food is basically a "rinse & repeat" from yesterday though I might have tuna instead of cheese salad for lunch.

Dinner decided, it's CBA HM air fried skin on chips & salad option with the pork chop:o

Sampled a bit more of the HM fruit cake after lunch, yep, another good 'un. The misfit choc fingers are fine as well;)

PN, not sure if you have room but I find bread keeps green free longer in the 'fridge. I prefer it out in the kitchen but I find with only a couple of slices a day the green creeps in

Caron, your dad sounds a bit like my mum, just wouldn't change suppliers, had to be with the same leccy board she'd grown up with
It took me years to get her to stop renting her handset phone from BT, despite being able to buy one for a tenner
She never did own a TV, had to be rented "in case it went wrong"

No doubt my kids despair at me sometimes
