    Evening

We had a light dusting of snow last night after the rain and then it froze so it took 15 minutes to get into the car and then de-ice it, the scraper was in the boot :wall: the journey to work was a little slippery at times  I followed a taxi most of the way and he was going very slowly . The frost was already forming when I came in tonight just before 8.30pm so more fun tomorrow :(

Candy I did think of your two furnutters when I was accosted by a young bouncy staffy in the sorting office tonight :) she was a beautiful brindle and white colour and wanted fuss and didn't care by whom :D

Too cold for salad lunchtime so I took in the LO steak and kidney planned for tea with green veg, carrot and swede I had also frozen a couple of dumplings with it :D. One of the kidney pieces exploded in the microwave I had put the lid partially over it but it wasn't enough to contain it.

Dinner was some pulled pork from the freezer in a wrap with a bit of salad. I won't buy these beetroot wraps again even if YS they taste sweet which is off putting when eating but I've been determined not to throw something else away this week

Major IT issues meant I got out of a two hour meeting today but was caught between two sets of developers arguing whose system was causing the issue as the systems had stopped talking to each other. Half the problem was fixed by the time i went home but I had by then eaten too much cake and Turkish Delight :( too many visits to the kitchen :(

That should've been a simple one to solve... one has to push the data and the other receive; or, one has to pull the data and receive it.

So who is pushing, who is pulling?
Is the push/pull instruction being reached/implemented?
Then there's the opportunity of blaming the systems in the middle :)

I bet the cleaner unplugged the ancient relay switch that an old system had retained... as the cleaner wanted to vacuum round the server room :)

Unfortunately not that simple :(. and if you throw in developers from two separate companies in separate cities in India, plus servers looked after by separate teams one in Uk and one in USA/ Singapore depending on the time  and both systems push data of different types to each other

Candy she was 2 and the owners kept apologising and didn't let her jump up on me, but she really wanted to :rotfl: a beautiful dog in no doubt that everyone would love her :D

Right must go scrap the car -5 out there

Hard frost overnight, the heating (that had been turned down to below the "frost" setting) turned itself on briefly.

Frost melted now, windows open to air the room. It's 54F/12C in my room here.

Today I'll probably go for spuds/beans/cheese because it's easy :)
  • I feel like I caught a chill when I went out last night so I didn't end up going to my MH thing today or get the damn blood tests.:p

I had cream cheese on toast and a cup of hot water with lemon. Banana and apple too.

I'm going to have the veggie pasta with spinach and cherry tomatoes again and a salad of tomato, cucumber, olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

    Quite healthy today.:)

early bird today, I wanted to get into town and stock up before the loons get out and drive in forecast snow tomorrow.
Because we hardly have snow a lot of drivers round here know the best way to drive in snow is put foot down hard and rev like hell, then stamp on the brakes when sliding towards parked cars:D

Last night's steak was super, only L's on offer ones, but very nice especially when [STRIKE]soaked[/STRIKE] marinated for a few hours. Unfortunately the grilled wrinkly tom tasted "musty" when bitten into, so left that bit:(

Nothing YS today but did get what I needed, boring like a trouser belt & computer mouse, plus big pack of loo rolls and huge 100 wash box of Smurf on offer, £8, in Iceland. 100 washes is over a year for me, now I need a large plastic box to decant it into:o

    Porridge breakfast
Cheese & salady sarnie lunch. The cucumber was on offer organic from L's, tasted like I remember cucs used to
Dinner ???? Maybe the last fish fingers, chips & peas

Radar has sleet arriving around 4, snow hard on it's heels by early evening
Heavy overnight forecast, so I may have to miss my volunteering tomorrow, too dodgy underfoot for my balance
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens
  • I emailed the local woman and she got back to me in about half an hour which was quite good. I hope that makes some difference as the rubbish still hasn't been picked up.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
