    Morning all!

SunnyGirl, congrats to your boy on his engagement! Always an exciting time!

Yesterday turned into a nice day. I went and did my Lidl shop, and then came home and made a bulk lot of sandwiches for the freezer. It takes a good 30-40 minutes, but saves time in the long run, and saves wastage.
Retreated back to bed at about 3-ish and had a short nap. Then headed out for an hours private tutoring. That all went well, but the mother wants to move the session back an hour, to start at 7:30. That's late, even for a 10 year old, but especially when you factor in that they've had a full day of school on top of that.
I'm noticing this with the parents of the kids I tutor. They are very keen to have the tutoring, but it's very much "what suits the parent", rather than "what suits or benefits the child".

I'm working this afternoon. I'm booked to spend the afternoon with a Year 1 class at one of my favourite schools. I've never had the Year 1s before, but their usual teacher is lovely. A 2-hour session is a nice way to ease myself back into the work routine. I'll probably head off to that a bit before 12.
No tutoring the next two evenings, so I can have some nice, relaxing evenings. :)

I was in bed all yesterday and last night and only managed to clock in 4 hours sleep so I thought I would just get up this morning. I feel more in the land of the living today.:)

The house feels a total mess. I have just wiped up some dust (can't vacuum as hubby is still in bed, he had to take time off work sick!) and aired the living room by opening up the garden doors. I have put all the pet blankets in the wash and lit a scented candle and some incense.

I need to have a hot shower and get dressed and go for a walk today. I really fancy some oranges so will get some at the shop.

I'm having a green smoothie for breakfast first - spinach, apple and banana. I feel like I need some vitamins.

Wednesday sounds like you need a break somewhere warm to shake off all these germs :) I'm hoping you haven't passed germs down the line as I woke this morning with a sore throat and tight chest, it's not got any worst during the day so hopefully it will stay away I've upped my preventive inhaler usage just in case I'm too busy at work to be sick :(

    I hope it doesn't develop.x

I've decided to go with the lentil ragu and spaghetti option to give a nod to "meat free Monday". :)

    Sounds nice!:)

Good morning and thank you for the congratulations for my son!

A lovely sunny and crispy day here but I won’t be out in it much as there’s more revision to be done. Criminal Law today haha. My online shop has been delivered and put away apart from my dry food cupboard which needs a tidy up first. I think that my youngest son was rooting through it when he was home for the Christmas holidays :rotfl:

Lunch today is cheese on toast and some spicy lentil soup from the freezer. I haven’t really decided about tonight as my boyfriend is coming so it may be a takeaway or what we call a lounge picnic - cold meat, cheese, pate, crackers, olives and apples - but time will tell. I’m not fussy either way. He’s currently suffering with man flu ;) so will probably want the picnic. I’ve also bought him some cold and flu tablets and vitamin C just in case :)

How funny. I just made vegan cheese on toast and was thinking about making a batch of lentil soup too.:rotfl:

I'm having a nice cup of coffee now as well.

    Congratulations. Sunny girl.
Mr AP last I heard Kittie hadn't managed to sell yet. But fingers crossed for the new year.

Beautiful sunny day ,but chilly. I've put Spanish chicken in slow cooker for tomorrow's tea!
Just hope it's finished cooking before I leave for work today.. as I would t be back till 9.30pm. And I want to cool and put it in fridge.
I've got the lo pasta for tea today. I'll probably have a spicy chicken and cheese toasted on a roll for lunch same as yesterday.
Hugs to the poorly ones :grouphug:

I'm heading out for my afternoon with Year 1 in the next 10/15 minutes. I've popped my book in my bag, as there tends to be some sitting around waiting for the kids to finish lunch, when it's an afternoon session. Although I may go and have a coffee in the staffroom... I'll see how social I feel once I'm there!

Gotta say... Bit nervous! It's my first day "back at work" since about the 16th Dec... I'm sure it'll be fine - it always is. But I'm still a bit nervy!

Wednesday Did you make the lentil soup? Mine was a particularly good batch this time. Or maybe I’m just extra hungry today!

Flubberyzing Hope it went well for you. A few nerves keep you sharp and I’m sure the children will be lovely.

I shall return to my law revision now. Trying very hard to remember the Actus Reus (guilty act) and the Mens Rea (guilty mind or intention) for each of the 10 offences that will come up in the exam. Without much success so far I admit.

My first day back as well, but volunteer work so not stressful. However I was running late this morning, time just sped by getting ready. It was also noticeable the morning was lighter than it was, here comes summer;).
There is a borage in flower and some geraniums are still hanging in flower, very mild winter so far. Mentioning it will no doubt bring a blizzard by the weekend

Into L's, not been in since last year:D
Not a lot of stuff on the shelves, looked like one of those shops in post apocalypse film, where the survivors pull up in some town and go in the "gas station" looking for supplies:eek: No zombies though

Not that I needed much, milk was top of list, had to get full fat as that was all there was, doubt it makes a lot of difference on top of mince pies & trifle;)

    Lunch, cheese & salady sarnie

Dinner, I'm going to nuke the last of the beef stew, no dumplings, CBA, I may nuke some of the frozen mash in lieu

I've taken one of the huge pork chops out to defrost overnight, fancying roast veg & chop for tomorrow

I didn't make it yet as I fancied a jacket potato instead. I will do it tomorrow.

What recipe do you use for your soup?:)

My afternoon turned out just fine. :) We did PE, then had a brief lesson on keeping safe online, and had a couple of stories.
They were no bother at all.
I'm booked with the same class next week, so that'll be nice.
