Shocking news about Money she will be missed. There was a lot of arguing going on on the very scary Brexit Prepping thread from what I’ve caught up so it might be that.

My guess that is where it was, some scary keyboard stuff on there, I lurk in & out quickly

Caron, lol, trying to imagine me in trlby & mac, Brambling with blonde wig and dark glasses, nothing to suspicious as we swap manky burnt pans in the cathedral gardens
I guess we would have to do proper spy job, sit on bench, manky pan at side, get up & leave it behind for other one to exchange it

    Hi Everyone :)

Just to say that I'm really sorry that Money has been banned. Yes, she said what she thought, but it was never in an unkind way and she was always supportive to those in need. If you're looking in Money - take care of yourself :)

I also miss Kitty's posts - an interesting lady and very wise :)

Faraway That has got me chuckling while I'm sat here! I was a very keen viewer of Spooks when it was on and like to think that I could hold my own in the world of spycraft. But, having taken the online test for MI5 I was found to be only moderately suitable for a career in field espionage. Which was just rude imo as I watched all 10 seasons lol. I shall leave it to the professionals that are you and Brambling!!

Didn't go shopping as the weather is awful so I did thge least moneysaving thing possible - nipped to Tesco Express for a lunch meal deal and a pizza for tea and came home and did an online shop. Oh well it saves my back lugging tins around as I wanted to stock up on tinned beans, tomatoes and fruit etc.

One load of washing has just finished so into the dryer and the second one will go in. I do love being able to just wash once a week nowadays. When all the kids were at home, and DH, I washed twice a day, every day :(

The dusting is about to be tackled as well. I'm having a CBA day and need to report my progress on here to stay on track or it's back to wasting hours on youtube and a filthy house!!

Just popping in to say I'm in touch with MTSTM outwith MSE and she has been banned from the forum permanently:eek::(.

Really sorry to hear this, but sadly not surprised. I've seen a number of contentious threads (and this isn't one of them:)) lately where posts written seem to have been misunderstood and trouble then breaks out. It is such a shame. I hope Money is ok :) as these types of situations can be upsetting.

I'm another who misses Kitty's posts and often wonder whether she managed to find another property to buy. I do think the forum loses so much, when genuinely nice people leave.

I'm a week late, but wish everyone a 'Happy New Year' - good health and prosperity to you all. Caron, I'm really hoping 'the wonkey donkey' has taken up residence elsewhere :)

:rotfl::rotfl: i like the thought of going blond :D. As well as carrying a manky saucepan I'll be wearing a red carnation and carrying a copy of the Financial Times :rotfl:

Congratulations Sunnygirl :T but that's a long time to keep a secret from your son :shhh:

Wednesday sounds like you need a break somewhere warm to shake off all these germs :) I'm hoping you haven't passed germs down the line as I woke this morning with a sore throat and tight chest, it's not got any worst during the day so hopefully it will stay away I've upped my preventive inhaler usage just in case I'm too busy at work to be sick :(

The weekend seemed too short  and this is my first full week at work for a while so will be a shock to the system. Lunch was HM soup and dinner will be chilli and jacket potato Both made yesterday so suitable for my cba mood

Nothing like an alternative email address and shiney new username to sort things out!

Don’t look at me like that...... we’ve all done it

    Good evening everyone
Lovely news SG :D we can pick hats together once they have chosen a date, though I think my son & daughter-in-law to be's nuptials might be a good while yet;).
Does sound as though you could do with a holiday Wednesday, it's horrible when you get one thing after another <<hugs>>
:wave:MrAPJI and Bucks Lady - hope all is good with you:)
Faway - I can just see you as a "spivvy" type:cool:, I shall look forward to next installment of your and Brambling's clandestine pot swap:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm another with the snuffles and scratchy throat tonight though I'm hoping it's just from cupboard dust:eek::o. The ones that I was sorting out are all clean & tidy now, I'm certainly covered for stationery, wrapping stuff etc. for a good few years and shouldn't need to buy any cards next Christmas.:D I'd like to give my bedroom storage a complete overhaul but I've other things I want to do this week so it will be a gradual job over coming weeks.

It's turned into a wild and wet night and has turned much colder might need to turn the CH on low for a bit to boost the stove heat. I'll see how I feel once I've made dinner. I've decided to go with the lentil ragu and spaghetti option to give a nod to "meat free Monday". :)

I think any nuptuals will be a while away yet. DS has just been awarded a training contract at the law firm where he already works that starts in January 2020 and he's still at uni 2 nights aweek doing his licence to practice - I think it's called that, it's so he can become a solicitor - and DS-in-law to be has 6 months to go until he's completed his civil engineering degree that he does one day a week whilst also working. They're very busy boys at the moment but I will dust off my hat for us both as they may be getting an airing at the same time :D

Hope you're not coming down with any awful lurgy xx

Sounds like we might want to hold off on the hats:rotfl::rotfl:
My younger son graduated Masters 2 years ago after 5 years:eek: at uni doing Civil Engineering. Is your son-in-law-to-be prepared for after that to earn the "big bucks" as an Engineer he needs to go for Chartership which takes around 5 years albeit part time:eek::eek:. My son is ploughing his way towards that but it's hard going I think when you are working FT. He's giving it his all though and hopes to complete early:D:D

Caron They’re both on track for long term career goals and are prepared for the slog thankfully. My sons law learning will go on for another 4 years before he’s a newly qualified solicitor and son in law to be knows he’s got another 5 years to go. I wouldn’t have had the patience at their age which maybe explains why I’m at uni now :D

It’ll be worth it in the end as they know that they will want to adopt children and would like 2 or 3 so they’ll need every penny!

My daughter is desperate for her boyfriend to propose but he’s showing no signs of it bless her.

Sounds like your boy is doing good! You must be so proud of him.
