Bagel with cream cheese & pastrami with gherkins, grapes and a cupasoup for lunch. chicken kiev for dinner tonight.
Can I move in with you please?? Your meals always sound so yummy. I'm a starving student.....
Afternoon all just having a break and some lunch - spicy lentil soup and bread and butter followed by an apple and a yoghurt. Not exciting but tasty and quick to prepare which at the moment is what I need.
Tea will be a frittata made with potato, onions, handful of frozen sliced peppers and some olives. And eggs of course
Am treating myself to an at home pedicure this afternoon and will soak my feet in warm water whilst I revise. I don't know about anyone else but I find that it's important to do things that feel like a treat when you live alone. Whether it's a weekly G&T, a jar of your favourite jam or chocolate spread, painting nails, watching your favourite film etc. It's all too easy to think well no one sees me so it doesn't matter (I've been guilty of this in the past) or to be in the mindset of doing things for other people. As in putting make up on BECAUSE I'm seeing my bf or only cooking when someone comes round or keeping bath and shower treats for 'best'.
Sorry if that is all a bit woman centred Faraway but I'm sure there's things that are 'manly' too
Anyhoo that's my musings for the day. Everyone keep well it would seem that we are an accident prone bunch at times0 -

Dull & cold, but after porridge breakfast went into town, nothing exciting, highlight was two packs of Heck on offer bangers & 4 pack of beans, although I did raid £land for YS Christmas stuff, some YS Xmas Smarties for grandchildren next time I see them
Lunch, defrosted a couple of bangers and made a sausage & brown sauce sarnie, Jamie Oliver can rest easy)
Dinner, not really hungry, I've one uncooked banger LO, so may have that my last two eggs. Not hungry enough to even bother with frozen chips, room for some chocs if there were anyCheese n onion pie, wedges n mushy peas tonight.Need some stodge today

Jacket potato won in the end. With beans and cheese , a bit of onion tomato and lettuce too.
Last strip of my fruit and nut choc after.
I'm glad I'm off tomorrow, I've been doing lots of moves involving hefting equipment and shelves around. Which is not the best for my bad back. I need to make my physio pilates tomorrow, before I'm back in sat and Sunday.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -

:hello: Itisme
Good evening everyone,
After a quietish afternoon I decided to "get ahead" and do some prep for friend's coming round tomorrow night. Chicken liver pate and a spanish-style tortilla made:) and while they were doing their "thing" I decided to give my fridge a wipe out. Was just finishing and putting stuff back when I managed to tip the opened carton of cream I had used for the pate. Not a huge amount spilled but boy did it travel:mad:. Had to haul the whole lot out again and re-wipe:(.
Ready for feet up & a bit of mindless telly now!0 -
Grey and damp here but much milder, not that I've really been out in as I was wrestling with Henry (hoover) for ages;).
Talk of threesomes yesterday and wrestling with Henry today
I brought new land telephones today which are busy charging before I squint at the small print and set them up. I hate copying the numbers over
I've realised that last year I ate a lot more meat than I usually do so this year I'm going back to a eating more fish and at least one vegetarian day a week, I've a freezer full of meat and HM meat based ready meals so we'll see how long before I feel I ought to be clearing space quicker  this weekend I need to do a freezer audit as I've allowed mine to get out of date. I think I will follow your lead Caronc and stick it to the fridge door so I can remember to update it
Lunch was yesterday's soup  with crackers and dinner was a mackerel fillet on a bed of black lentils mixed with lots of veg, there turned out to be a lot of the lentil / veg mix as I went through my veg containers using up odds and ends so I only had the one fillet the other I'll have with the LO lentils mix either tomorrow or Saturday

Not sure what your job is love, would it be possible to change for something that does not involve hefting things around. Your back is precious and its so easy to cause permanent damage by ignoring the twinges and soreness that occurs.Slimming World at target0 -
Meg would you believe I work in Marks! Even the standing all day hurts my back, I think it got worse when I had neuromas on my left foot which h caused me to walk differently for 2 years till it was operated on. Unfortunately moving the counters etc, is done quite a lot usually with only 1 or 2 of us, and all women of a certain age!! I've been here for 18 years and there are rumours of the store closing, so quite worrying all round. Though I thank you for your thoughts, only wish they didn't keep putting the retirement age up!!!!;)Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm having a pause from chores for a cuppa. Think I'm more or less on track for folk round tonight, just some dips to make later for our "picky bits" meal. My Dad popped by earlier and has toddled off with a small ramekin of HM pate for his lunch. I had some earlier (for quality control purposes;):rotfl:) on toast for breakfast and thought it was pretty good.:)
Last of the pack of bagels for lunch with ham & tomato and some pickles.0 -
I've had toast with vegan cream cheese and a few grapes. Bottle of kombucha and sparkling water to drink.
After my haircut I'm going to go out and buy black olives for my mini cheese and cherry tomato pizzas that I'm making tonight. Two pizzas for today and two for tomorrow.
I'm going to have some steamed veggies, gherkins and kimchi with them. Bit of a weird combo but hopefully it was taste okay.:D
I have a mini blackcurrant cheesecake thing in the fridge that will be eaten later as well.:EasterBun0
