Nice sunny day here and I headed into the City for a mooch around m&s but same as Farway there were no ys items that took my interest.
I did however pick up some watercress and olive rolls so I’ll have these with the last of the deli ham and other salad bits for lunch.
I have some leftover sauce from last night's saganaki dish (which by the way JKS I really enjoyed) so I’ll use it up in a gratin type concoction with courgette, some more feta, olives and dill.

Glad you enjoyed it N2BT.
Absolutely torrential rain here this morning but then dry and bright by lunchtime, odd.
Made a salad with some of the LO harissa chicken, new potatoes and tomatoes for lunch. Nigella’s spicy sesame mushroom spaghetti with green beans tonight 😋

Heavy rain & sunshine, very mixed
Not sure if I'm catching mild lurgy or not, was very shivery yesterday and off food and skipped dinner. But feeling fine this morning, had a hearty breakfast, eggs for a change.
Lunch, copy Brambling, cheese on toast sounds good
Dinner, LO ham, jacket spud + salad. Or if the weather goes bad, spaghetti Bolognese from the freezer

Good morning everyone,
Grey, wet and just in double figures today. I didn't get any potting up done yesterday and can't see it happening unless there is a decent break in between showers later today after I've got a couple of "must dos" done.
Cottage cheese salad and some strawberries for lunch. Trying this tonight Pomegranate And Lime Air-Fryer Salmon | Tesco Real Food using a packet of couscous and with some roasted peppers, red onion and tomatoes on the side.

It seems quite nice today so far, but I thought it was meant to rain. I have had sourdough toast with avocado and tomatoes.

Another lovely sunny morning but as usual the afternoon I’m supposed to be bowling there’s a 90% chance of rain.
Caught up on some washing and cooking this morning, I’ve just finished making a tagine for dinner tonight the flat smells great. I'll leave the flavours to infuse and just need to reheat it later. I used

I may have to give the salmon a try a Caronc I like pomegranate with grains / couscous.
Intermittent weather, heavy rain most of the morning, sun shine then back to rain by 6pm
Visited the vampire late morning for my annual blood test, they seem to add more each year. Has any one had a pee test recently? I was given a little container to do the deed and a monovette! which looked like a small syringe with no needle, you have to remove a very small cap, push in a straw, draw up fluid, remove straw, screw the very small cap back on and then snap off the plunger. Impossible if you had any issues with your hands 🤷🏼♀️ not sure if a local change of a NHS one, an instruction sheet was given and the dr receptionist did a demo (just the syringe! 😁) not made for fat fingers either. Sorry if TMI 🫣
boiled egg and toast for lunch. Farway yesterday's cheese on toast had Worcestershire sauce on, I forgot how much I liked that.
I pinged a plate of LO roast pork and veg for dinner

Dull & more rain on the way
Asda delivery arrived on time, no subs or non available today, a complete order.
Brambling Has any one had a pee test recently? No, they seem to have stopped doing mine. I was told it was a diabetes check, but maybe they lied or do it via blood now? Or perhaps I'm beyond redemption by now? Or assumed the new-fangled way you describe is deemed beyond my bent fat fingers 😁?
Farway yesterday's cheese on toast had Worcestershire sauce on. I had very posh Tiptree brown sauce
Lunch, LO ham + pickle sandwich
Dinner, pork chop, mash, carrots, celery hearts & maybe my own mange tout if any are ready

Good afternoon everyone,
That sounds like a right palaver Brambling and as you say not for anyone with hand issues! The salmon with pomegranate and grains was really good though I'll be eating/drinking a lot of pomegranate in coming days to use up the seeds and juice but that won't stop me making it again.
Dry here so far but chilly and we have thunder storms forecast for this afternoon and evening though the sky is pretty clear just now there is a brisk and really quite chilly wind. Hoping to do a mega 4 week meal plan to see us through rather a lot of pooch sitting and various other commitments over coming weeks. It will no doubt be tweaked along the way but hopefully worth a couple of hours today, we'll see.
Fridge gravel salad with feta and pomegranate for lunch with strawberries for afters. Trying this tonight I'm making the full base/veg but just using 225g of extra firm Tofu which I plan to AF before adding it. We'll have it with rice/cauli rice and steamed veg.
