Strange day yesterday, misty and murky mostly, and felt exhausted so pottering around with laundry, ironing and life admin for the morning. Brightened up early afternoon so had a walk in the sun, strangely mild again.
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Very early tea of broccoli and anchovy pasta before out to volunteer at an event. Went on longer than expected so tea and toast with marmite when I got home!
Awake too early again today, might need a nap 😴

A cooler start but it’s a nice bright sunny day again.
Lunch was poached eggs on toast with a couple of grilled tomatoes on the side.
I ate all of the meatballs last night but have a couple of portions of the bean and pepper stew leftover, I froze one and added the other to 250g of mince and a few other odds and ends from the freezer and it’s turned into the nicest chilli that I’ve made in a long time 😁

Another misty, murky day here so forced myself out to run a couple of errands and do a food shop this morning. Just fancied bread and cheese for lunch so had that with the end of a jar of chutney and an apple.
Pottering afternoon, waited for it to brighten up but it never did so went for a short walk anyway. Creamy chicken, cannellini bean and leek traybake with carrots and tenderstem tonight.

I had a fancy dinner yesterday at the event in London. I couldn't finish the last two courses so I got it boxed up and gave it to the woman sitting next to me for her husband to have. She was from the same part of south London that I'm from.
I had a vegan cheese sandwich when I got home this morning. I'm going to make a smoothie in a minute as I bought more bananas. My house feels quite chilly, but I think it is from having the heating off for a few days. It feels nice in the sunny bits of my house.

Missed posting yesterday, no idea why but my post failed to Submit. Better luck today, maybe
Sunny with a stiff breeze, need to be wrapped up out in it
I've been having "fun" wjth my internet & landline, lost all connection to outside world ☹️. Luckily I'm in the process of changing to 4G mobile based broadband so was able to continue. I've now cancelled my landline including the phone, next thing is letting Dr etc know my phone has changed. Jobs I could do without TBH, just wanted to plod along with things working as they used to!
Lunch, last of the LO pork pie
Dinner, freezer cleaning, Leek & potato Pukka pie, with mix of fresh & frozen veggies and cheese sauce

Good morning everyone,
Another one who missed posting yesterday, by the time DS1, DDIL and DGD left and I had cleared up the carnage that results from making a cooked brunch and little miss self feeding the bulk of the day had gone and I completely forgot. The wee one was on great form but it's full on as she's at the everything now stage and very wriggly.
My plans to make soup on Saturday never happened so I quickly put it together once the dishwasher was on and DS2 and enjoyed a bowlful for dinner. To go with it I air fried strips of the sweet potato skins until crispy which made a nice change from our usual HM croutons. Lunch today will be another bowlful and I'll freeze some as well. First proper frost this morning and it's still only 6C so definitely soup weather.
Today I need to catch up on the laundry and plough on with the admin. Dinner will be Minted pea and feta omelette - Recipes - Hairy Bikers with salad and AF baby potatoes.

Very chilly start here too and a bit overcast although it seems to be brightening up now. I did put some washing out but I'm not sure how dry it will get and I’m reluctant to set up the heated airer so soon.
Soup from my freezer stash for lunch, I think it’s celery today.
I’m defrosting a couple of pork loin steaks to do a stir fry tonight with a mixture of veg, noodles, chilli, garlic, oyster & soy sauce.
