No alcohol in mine, it’s an old Waitrose magazine recipe but can’t find it online. Here’s a photo of the page I ripped out of the magazine 🙃

Miserable day here then turned into a lovely sunny evening.

Scrambled eggs and avocado on toasted bagel for lunch. Sausage and spinach gnocchi for tea.

Very wet day at Petworth volunteering, not as quiet as last time I worked but not very busy, tomorrow meant to be dry and it's a free day so I'll expect it will be busier.

Popped into Waitrose on the way home (it has underground carpark 🙂) for milk which I forgot when in Tescos and picked up some lovely big scallops reduced to less than half price from their fish counter. 😋

Lunch repeat of yesterday, salmon, roasted beetroot and beetroot and radish bulgar wheat salad.

Dinner pan fried scallops and pancetta spinach salad with a crusty roll, I haven't had that in years

Lovely sunny morning although I think there could be some rain heading our way this afternoon so I’m heading out for a nice long walk before I prepare lunch.

I picked up some nice deli ham in tesco so I’ll have some of that with salad and some more of the spanish grains.

Good morning everyone,

DGD is 4 months today Brambling and babbling away. She's being brought up bilingual so who knows what her first words will be lol!

Another manky day here but I do have to head out. The Guide company I belonged to is having a final gathering before it dissolves. I'm going with my friend who I met the first night I went to Brownies and the rest is (a lot) of history! Fridge bits for a quick lunch before I go, if I get back at a reasonable time dinner will be chicken & chorizo soup or if time is too short some kind of chicken, chorizo and veg bung together.

Chilly start this morning and has threatened rain most of the day but has actually been quite nice, enough of a breeze to get a load of sheets and towels dried on the line. Domestics this morning then off for a swim. Called into M&S food for chicken thighs and decent bread.

Beans with toast for lunch. Spent the afternoon watching tennis 🎾

Harissa chicken, new potato and tomato traybake with green salad tonight 😋

Brambling

Popped around to my sisters for a cuppa at 11am and got home at 4.30pm 😁 I did get baby cuddles when my nephew and family dropped around, he's 7.5 months and just trying to crawl, he's not quite there but can move across the floor when he wants something, more successfully backwards 🥰 little one stayed after the rest went home and I was given instructions on building with her magnet tiles and when she got quite breathless we sat and read loads of stories after her inhaler.

Youngest nephew did his first 10km run today, he's happy with his 48 min time especially as he's never run more than 7km before he does walk a lot more and is walking a marathon on the south down way next weekend for Macmillian.

I had a tuna sandwich by my sister for lunch. LO Korean chicken with salad for dinner

Good morning everyone,

Loved the scooting about/not quite crawling stage Brambling, There was a wee tot at yesterday's event who had just found her feet and was making best use of her new skill to explore the hall. she was ever so sweet and not at all shy! The event was lovely but the hall was freezing, despite changing into warm clothes and lighting the stove yesterday evening it was only when I went to bed with a hot water bottle and an extra blanket that I properly warmed up. They had made tea and cakes for everyone and thoroughly enjoyed a small piece of fruit loaf and a strawberry tart. It's sad the group as is, is ending but they are hoping they might be able to start again elsewhere after the summer.

It's drier and less windy here so far today, I've some admin to get done but don't need to tackle it all today so hopefully if the showers stay away I might get some potting on done. I did get back in time to make chicken, chorizo and chickpea soup so lunch will be a bowl of that. Folded omelettes tonight with rice, bbq sauce and steamed veg.

I am going out to a meetup so I will eat out for lunch. I have only had a hot drink and a nectarine. It is meant to be thundery here the next few days.

Farway

Bit later today, collected a prescription then onto Morries for YS mooch. Nothing worth while so came home with nothing, but did get caught in an absolute torrential downpour, overflowing gutters etc.

Dinner, contemplating another ham salad, but if the weather stays as grey & damp as now, that may change for something more suitable & warming
