I put the heating on for an hour yesterday as I felt cold. It is meant to be nicer at the weekend which is good as I'm going into London. I just had avocado on sourdough toast.

Another sunshine and showers day here today, once again best part of the day was late afternoon and evening.

Nipped out (in the rain) at lunchtime to collect an online order so threw together a fridge gravel salad for lunch when I got back and ate it at my desk. Prawn egg fried rice tonight with the end of a red pepper, the last few green beans and a handful of peas for good measure 😊

Usual Friday volunteering, it was very quiet so a lot of putting the world to rights conversations. I could have done with being home in the garden seeing as the weather was nice.

Lentil salad with lots of veg, feta cheese and olives for lunch.

The was cake this afternoon at volunteering so dinner was scrambled egg on toast with smoked salmon

Despite the weather I’ve had a lovely break away from home, had some gorgeous meals out too which made such a nice change. I did however have to buy another waterproof jacket, never really bothered that much when I had the car but reckon I’m now covered for all seasons.

Caught up on some washing and got it out early as there’s a good breeze so it should dry before the rain arrives this afternoon.

I made a quick visit to the fishmonger this morning and picked up some prawns for a lunchtime salad and a nice piece of fresh tuna which I’ll have with griddled courgette and that lovely caper and lemon dressing.

Sunny & mild, and set fair for week ahead so forecast said

Hopefully I'll be able to get out and do some garden pottering if weather holds, been to wet & cold lately

Lunch, going to try a tin of "cheap" chilli, never had that before but could be a handy alternative if I get stuck for ideas, like today

Dinner, today is salad weather at last, Tuna / mayo filled jacket spud + salad

    Good morning everyone,

Glad you had a nice break N2BT.

Grey, wet and chilly here today. DS2 is off to Glasgow to meet DS1, have lunch and bring Frank here for 3 weeks as they are away. It will be a pooch orientated few weeks as we have Ari for chunks of it too! I'm hoping the weather picks up so they can play in the garden but it's not looking to promising, we'll see though tomorrow looks dry if not warm, 🤞

I've a few personal care things I want to do today but apart from that no plans. Cooked a couple of small salmon tails last night, had one for dinner and I'll have the other for lunch with salad bits. Tonight I'm making this though will freshly cook the chicken breasts, we'll have it with either steamed veg or a mayo-free slaw. Buffalo-Style Chicken Sweet Potatoes Recipe | Tesco Real Food

Started a bit grey and damp, which wasn’t forecast, so the washing got hung up inside on the airer. Brightened up later but was very breezy. Grocery shop, brunch meet up, bit of volunteering, errands in town and a bit of tennis watching.

Made this https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/purple-sprouting-broccoli-sausage-pasta tonight, which used up PSB, some onion and the end of a piece of Parmesan 😋

Back to tee shirt weather today 😎 like Farway I'm hoping to tackle the garden this week

I met a friend for a cuppa and catch up in the John Lewis cafe this morning. I used a couple of vouchers in Waitrose and browsed in our small JL before getting home for a late lunch,

Lunch a repeat of yesterday, lentil and veg salad with feta and olives.

CBA to cook a proper dinner as it was late before I was hungry so just some AF LO new potatoes with a fried egg

Sunny & warm again, give me a chance to finish of the bits I started in the garden. Found I have a bunch of grapes growing this year, the first for a few years, maybe the recent long hot summers?

I have a Tea Loaf in the oven, smells yummy, but I think I've made it too "wet" as it's taking ages to cook through.

Lunch, LO tuna / Mayo combo, maybe with small jacket spud

Dinner. LO ham hock + LO mash & frozen mixed veg

    Good morning everyone,

We've been forecast a dry day here, the only one for the couple of weeks, and so far so good. The sun is not exactly splitting the trees and a cardi will be needed but I'm determined to spend some time potting on this afternoon. If time allows I want to make a start on filling the greenhouse troughs. There's also a chook marinading ready to rotisserie this afternoon. LOs/fridge gravel for lunch. For dinner tonight I'm turning the second half of the Hugh F-W carrot and cashew nut curry into soup which I'll top with AF carrot strips and some shredded chicken.
