I have problems getting my head around chicken and blueberries Caronc but I may give it ago.
Overcast morning and it rained this afternoon, it then turned hot so I think it's ramping up for the weekend.
I needed to repeat a blood test so popped to pick up a form at the GP before going to the local hospital to visit the vampire. This one didn't cause a bruise like the last one!
Cheese, tomato and crackers for lunch
Sweet n sour turkey with vegetables and noodles for dinner

it then turned hot so I think it's ramping up for the weekend It's here, hot sun & blue sky already, windows wide & due to melt later with a hot & sticky night ahead. I've already been out watering the plants before the heat gets going
Fortunately I have plenty of salady bits in
Lunch, defrosting a cheap pasty as part of freezer clearance.
I've found year old pork chops while rummaging, looking like some will appear overt he weekend now I know where they are
Dinner, RM Cheese & Onion flan / quiche plus salad
I may pick some rhubarb as well, it has shot up since the rain

Good morning everyone,
Yep I did wonder before I tried it Brambling but the chicken & blueberries combo with the other bits definitely works well. I don't suppose it's much different than turkey and cranberry.
Absolutely tipping it down here and not hugely warm. It started pouring yesterday afternoon and apart for a short spell mid evening I don't think it's stopped since. My poor wee bedding plants are having a battering and look very bedraggled. I'm hoping it eases up a bit as I'm meeting friends for a cuppa/catch up late afternoon and would prefer not look like a drowned rat!
LOs/fridge bits for lunch. Dinner tbc.

It feels very hot here today. I am staying in hotels the next two nights so I am assuming they have air con.
I have had a huge bowl of watermelon and crumpets with Flora. I'm eating out tonight so I will probably have a small lunch.

It feels thundery here, very warm but no rain yet. The gardener is cutting the grass just now so loving the smell of cut grass coming in the window.
Went to tesco this morning to get a few essentials, still no show as far as the pork, smoked red pepper and paprika hot dogs. They have the pork, cheese and jalapeno ones so perhaps the very garlicky ones weren't a hit in this part of the country.
Absolutely loved the burrata from aldi that I had last night and it’s definitely on the buy again list. I used the other half of it today for lunch in a caprese salad. Luckily I had some nice tomatoes too, so it turned into a lovely creamy, fresh salad, the best I’ve tasted since my travels in Italy.
Another delve into the freezer for a portion of chicken curry for tonight and I’ll whizz up the last of the cauliflower to go with it, and I think there’s poppadoms in the store cupboard that need using too.

my cousin in Dubai tells me it’s averaging 38 - 44 degrees out there just now and cousin in Tuscan, Arizona says it’s now averaging 39 to 42 degrees. And here’s me dreading the next week with our UK temperatures!

it's forecast 32c a couple of days next week, I get grumpy especially if it's too hot to sleep. I'm not made for the heat.
I was volunteering today as usual and it was quite hot outside the office, we were busy do I didn't stop all day. Lunch was eaten on the run. The car was unpleasant when I got back to it.
Salmon salad with cold jersey royals for lunch.
Cheese omelette and salad for dinner

Lunch, LO cold C & O quiche / flan
Dinner, grilled pork loin chop, with frozen AF chips & some salad bits

Good morning everyone,
Finally some sunshine, we still need a bit of heat to go with it but I'll take it! We had enough rain yesterday to last a month so it was a rather soggy round the edges catch up with my friends. World was put to rights several times and we shared a portion of rather good nachos which made a change from the usual scone/cake. For dinner I roasted some salmon and veg but after my earlier snack only had a small amount so plenty LO for lunch. Tesco are coming late afternoon and I've a couple of chores to catch up with but apart from plan to enjoy the better weather. Burgers for dinner.

Lovely day here, got some washing on the line early and in by lunchtime so as not to get it too crunchy. Floors hoovered and mopped so it’s smelling nice and fresh for a short while.
Fridge gravel for lunch using up some odds and ends. I also made a generous portion of soup with the last few stalks of celery, spring onions, stock and a handful of rice.
I found a forgotten portion of tuna loaf in the freezer so had that for dinner with some AF chips and the last of the roast beetroot.
