grey and overcast all day but not cold! when I got to Petworth at 10am it was spitting with rain. It was a quiet day again, it gives me time to browse the stock 🙂

I missed lunch at my sisters' today so she sent me a video of the baby now crawling properly, he has been kind of doing a rapid shuffle to get about, he's going to be a handful 🥰 we was heading towards something he had being told no to at speed 😁 the other was a picture of his sister in her first school uniform ready for September, my sister did admit to a tear or two.

Salmon salad again for lunch.

I planned chicken breast for dinner but had a long conversation with eldest sister whose getting over tripping in the garden (luckily her daughter and SIL were there as she's bashed her face badly) and then I updated my local sister I didn't fancy them! I poached both breast they're do for salad or sandwiches and had yogurt and fruit for dinner

Sun is burning down already, luckily a bit of breeze to keep it down a bit.

Another lovely sunny day here too, there’s a slight breeze but the sea’s not too choppy so I imagine the yachting club and windsurfers will be out in the bay soon, always fun to watch.

I really should tidy my freezer more often, I’ve retrieved another couple of forgotten items to use up today, a piece of lorne sausage which I’ll have in a crusty roll with sliced tomatoes for my lunch.

I’m also defrosting two mini cooking chorizo and some cooked chicken along with some chillies and mixed peppers to do a jambalaya type dish tonight.

Good morning everyone,

Lovely sunny day here and pleasant 17C. Second load of washing is just spinning and will go on racks in the garden. Chook has been marinating overnight ready to rotisserie later.

For a change I did taco style burger bowls for dinner last night with loads of veg and black beans on a baked sweet potato. Made a spicy salsa type salad and creamed avocado to go with it. It was really good and there's various bits LO for lunch. Chicken salad for dinner.

When the Little One was her brothers age she was on a ventilator for the second time in a month so seeing her in her school uniform and him so healthy definitely brings a lump to the throat 🥰 my nieces granddaughter is also going to school in September and is most put out that she will have to go five days a week as Friday is when she goes with her nanny to see great nanny who makes her cheese scones.

Too hot to want to do much outside when there was no need.

Dinner, Snap Brambling,, chicken salad. I've found some cooked chicken in freezer and it's defrosting now, but do not know if it is slices or legs / wings, once defrosted it may be served As Is or become Coronation chicken

Good morning everyone.

Lots of chicken salad being eaten in CFO land I see, I'm on rinse and repeat of dinner last night for lunch too as there is still most of the rotisserie chook left.

Back to rain today, the forecast was originally for it to dry up mid morning but now looks as though it will last well into this evening. Glad we hadn't planned to bbq this evening!

I've a pile of admin to start on and really must give the bathroom a scrub but apart from that no plans. Ari arrives tonight until the 1st so it will be a full house of pooches as Frank is here until the 4th. Chaos will rule for a couple of days until they settle into a routine so plan to enjoy the (relative) peace today. Saag paneer omelette with salad and AF chips for dinner. A bit overcast here today which was good as I needed to go into the City, I had a browse around a few shops and picked up a couple of guest towels, I much prefer that size of towel when all I'm doing is drying my hands, it means I can finally cull the balding, faded, scruffy ones that are in the cupboard.

Also had a mooch in m&s foodhall as there were particular items I wanted to get but have decided Monday is not a good day for ys items, the only off list item I got was an avocado.

Lunch was leftover chicken and chorizo jambalaya and I have some pork marinating to do souvlaki with all the usual greek trimmings tonight.

Back from my travels, where it was really quite hot. Glad I wasn’t trying to do too much.

Overcast start here but brightened up late morning, has been a lovely afternoon and evening, not too hot…apparently extreme temperature on it’s way though.

Nipped out to Lidl at lunchtime and have also got one load dried on the line alongside getting back into work mode. Tuna and sweetcorn sandwich with cherry tomatoes for lunch. Salmon sort of Niçoise salad tonight.

Today has felt very long, off to bed soon.

I returned a parcel today which is my only reason for going out. Three loads of washing dried and bedding put back on the bed. I did curse as one pillow escape on the stairs and the bedding was my last wash 🙄

His lordship and I have discuss his need to cuddle, I don't need a furry hot water bottle much to hot fit that.
